Power outages when playing GTA Online

One of the things that pisses me off is when a power outage occurs when I'm playing GTA Online. Not only does some of my data not save, but I can't access GTA Online during the duration of the outage.

 

Is there any way to minimize the chances of an outage occurring when I'm playing? Or are power outages solely luck-based, and there's nothing I can do to prevent/minimize them?

Ok, so this might be a Trolling topic, but there is a chance it's an honest question...

 

There are ways to avoid them; backup generators being the most common moderate-term (hours to days) household option and battery power units for short-duration (minutes) individual items. Of course, this only covers your power, not your internet connection; if your power goes out, there's a chance that your ISP (or someone along the chain) lost power. An option would be to use a satellite ISP, though that may not work in bad (or cloudy) weather.

 

If you are really dedicated to having good internet connection, move somewhere where it will be better. A good location would be right next to your (new) ISP's hub; become friendly with the staff and maybe they'll let you hook up directly...
