Online cost money on next gen ?

As the Topic Titel ask, do I have to pay for playing GTA online on PS4? I ask since I dont own a Ps4 yet, so Im not sure how it works. And I think I read something about in one of the other topics, but my english is not 100% so might have got it wrong

yep, Sony when the greedy route and now requires psplus to play online.

 

$10 a month or $50 for 1 year subs.

The 60 dollars i pay for xbox every year come out to less than pennies a day. 365 days and i play almost every day

Im paying for internet connection, electricity, the console, games, controller, accessories (all which aint cheap)

 

now I gotta pay an extra 60 a year for something that has been free since.

they went the way of microsoft because they got tired of microsofts service being better lol and being compared to them.. everyone knows the only reason xbox live was better than psn was because it was being payed for by consumers using the service. sony didnt have that so it was easy to hack and very unreliable because they didnt have any money to fix there service when it got messed up because they didnt have the money thats why they did this. O_O its not them being greedy its them finally realising that money pays the bills .something microsoft knows all to well already

PSN is $10/yr cheaper then XBL, plus the PS4 is a better machine. Unless of course you prefer the XB1 exclusives.

Its definitely not stupid, from a business standpoint, because it generates revenue. and a lot of it. However, i hate it. also I hate how people say "oh its not a lot deal with it" … it is a lot to me, I'm sure people who don't pay bills, nor for their own toys will say ITS NOT A LOT, DEAL WITH IT… but i think its ridiculous. Sony is not hurting for money, and this is just another way to milk the consumers.

Exactly and here we were even thinking that Microsoft would go down the free online route, it's ridicoulous really, so they aren't making enough from sponsorship/ advertsing, console/ game sales, netflix, psn downloands, and the people who already have the damn PSN plus!?!?

I've had ps3 since it came out and I have only had 1 problem and that was well published time they got hacked, are you saying services that charge are immune to hacking?? Of course not, they were doing perfectly fine and maintaining it well up to now, it's not like the money they make is distributed department wise, people running PSN have been getting paid believe that

 

it's pure greed, because it is unnecessary, they didn’t wanna miss out on potential extra earnings like their rivals so they went down this route, while we were all hoping for Microsoft to go free

Has your XBM been perfect so far seeing as you pay for it? cos my little brother's certainly hasn't

Yeah surely its not a huge amount of money, just hope it comes with some good benifits.

But in long terms, with all the online services we have nowadays it does become quiet alot of money each month
