Enough with the suggestions to go invite only. We want to play with like minded random people. Not add every non scumbag to my friends list and invite them. Why don't you griefing assholes do invite only. Easier for you to find a holes like yourselves.

Or how bout you pull your head out of that dark place, breathe some fresh air and put forth the effort nessacary to get the environment to play the way you want to?

I do it. It's not hard.

And not all of us who are suggesting you put forth some effort are griefers.

English, You can have "like minded" or "Random" "like minded random" is an oxymoron...

 

Besides as I and 5 thousand others have already posted, it's not about what you want, it's about what the overwhelming majority of R* customers want! They want you in their lobby so they can grief you endlessly!

Once you assign a condition it is no longer random.......... you can't control random, random means you take what you get.....

No, there are invite only lobbies with friends, crew and randoms. Public lobbies are full of randoms, but their all not like minded......

 

When you get done sorting out the like minded ones they will no longer be randoms, then they'd be like minded strangers....

 

Either way your not getting a hand holding option so you can play dress up with strangers ( and maybe pick up some new e-mail addresses ). Learn to protect yourself, or just die often for everyone else....

New gen is getting/has got a proper passive mode, so no more easy kills for talentless PVPers in freemode there. And I can't think why that new and improved passive mode won't be updated onto PS3/X360 in the near future.

 

Still, a (completely optional and voluntary) public lobby that doesn't revolve around PVP would still be nice. It would be awesome to jump from session to session just to see what players are up to, since they'd have to do something original. 29 buzzards swarming across the map being attacked by police choppers. 29 riced out imports lining the streets of Paleto Bay having Fast&Furious style drag races down main street. I find those ideas infinitely more interesting than a bunch of squeakers taking turns shooting eachother in the face, over and over, session after session, like we have now.

No, there are invite only lobbies with friends, crew and randoms. Public lobbies are full of randoms, but their all not like minded......

You have the exact same arguments that my dipsh*t 16 yr old stepson would use. Every lobby is not public, good one. At least now I know your to stupid to understand context. And random somehow doesn't mean the same thing as stranger in gtao. Plenty to do besides griefing in free roam. You can respond but I am now done with you. Edited by hangover_bro

GTA O definitely needs a "No Police" lobby option. Most of the time, we have to deal with the other players AND the tough police at the same time, which sucks. I know there's such an option with Lester, but it last only 3 minutes (or something like that), it's not enough.

 

Sometime police chases are fun, but I'd say 90% of the time L.S.P.D. officers are the #1 fun breaker in GTA O (especially since their fire response are extremely aggressive even toward minor infraction).

90% of the people in passive mode are talentless griefers who use it for cheap kills. Any passive mode that lets you come in and out of it while in Free roam will be abused!

 

and whats wrong (in R*'s mind) with you running off to a sims lobby is that it reduces the targets for the majority of their customers who want to blast people all day. Why do you think all the big apartment properties are in about 10% of the map space instead of spread out over the map? R* wants large concentrations of players to support pvp, which is what the vast majority of players want!

 

I spent 90% of my time in invite only....

You're assuming the majority of players are in public lobbies. I could just as easily say it's a minority, with most players sticking to private lobbies and dedicated game modes.

 

As for lobby options, I recall someone once saying that the way GTA IV, for example, hosted lobbies was different than the way GTA V does. GTA IV was more locally hosted, while GTA V uses the cloud, or something. I'm not sure if that's true, but the people saying it were very convincing. So anyway, the lack of lobby options might not have anything to do with a cash card conspiracy.

This. I'm pretty sure Invite Only will be about the only such feature that will ship with the new gen consoles

I've never had anyone in passive mode use it for cheap kills against me. That's probably because I don't go around like some d-bag and kill people for nothing.

 

If someone kills me when I'm just minding my own business, then I will do anything to aggravate the hell out of that person. That includes using passive mode to harass him until he leaves.

 

Don't start nothing, won't be nothing.
