I'm sure the servers will be live and operational on both Sunday and Monday ready for the release. Thinking back to the first release I reckon that Rockstar have learnt what they need to do differently.

 

My guess is that they will be up and ready for people to play on. I'm looking to transfer my character to Xbox One first then I'm going to play the Single Player again in first person.

Will be interesting to see. I'm still trying to figure out if best buy is doing the midnight release or not. No one there seems to know. If they are, i will probably go get it at midnight and at least install it and check out SP but i may still wait till Tuesday morning/afternoon to see how smooth things go. IIRC you have to play through the prologue mission in north yankton to unlock online.

Will it not go live at midnight US time where Rockstar's servers are based. I am not expecting it to go live until the mid part of our night around 4 am UK time and I won't have my copy probably until 1pm on the Tuesday since I ordered

physical disc copy from Amazon UK.

OT: I think singleplayer should be fine but I wouldn't bet on online running perfectly from the get go. I'll be waiting a day or two before I log on to online, just in case.

According to my PS4 it will be available to play at midnight EST, that's 11pm CST for me.

The patch is already online monday to enable online play and not everyone has a new gen console yet. So it won't be as much of a disaster as the old gen launch.

Good point. I hadn't considered this. Anyone have any idea how long the install time is for PS4 games, generally speaking?
