Take a guess: Will your online characters have blurry tattoos and text

Was it a Rockstar server/technical issue or the person's internet quality itself?

If you seen other players online that had lots of tattoos for example, they would all be blurred and smudged making the whole point of have tattoos to begin with rather pointless.

Do you think the PS4/XB1 will fix that problem?

Um go on the R* GTA5 website and look at the screenshots. Theres atleast one photo they released with a tattoo on it. This was so related to a post I made in another thread. People need to actually look before asking questions. The GTA Forum questions in the latest CVG video were so embarrassing most questions that were asked were answered already in their first video so either people are too lazy to actually listen or look for their answer or just straight out stupid. This is just another example. A thread was created instead of thinking "I know R* released like over 70 screenshot last week I wonder if one has a pic of a tattoo". Sorry a bit harsh but its just commonsense.

I didn't mean to just single out tattoos, but I meant our online characters in general. Like the textures in our faces, clothing, tattoos and crew emblems were blurry to other people during gameplay.

Also, I'm pretty sure the Rockstar screenshot gallery for PS3/Xbox didn't include online screen caps, so who is to say the screenshots presented for PS4 and XB1 has some trickery in it?

Intelligence is gained by watching CVG videos. Intelligence is knowing everything about an upcoming game. What if I told you people actually have stuff to do in their lives and happen to not be updated about GTAV? Do you even look back at your posts? I remember in your last one you even said you were embarrassed by these "stupid" questions. Stop whining and ANSWER the questions?

Yes.

Although I was hoping to find actual online footage from the PS4/XB1 showcasing online characters during gameplay.

Then we could determine how well they really look with loaded texture synchronization for other players, as in if it remains sharp and HD to other players.

Here's a good example of what I'm talking about:

0_0.jpg

example - The guy in the purple mask is you. Your textures are sharp and your tattoo isn't blurred.

The other guy behind him however, you can notice a big difference in texture compression. It's all smudgey and his tattoo is blurred

Well, it's not an online character during gameplay, it's single player footage, but check this video out, minute 1:17 (the guy on the wing):

GTA Master 007

Actually the tattoo "glitch" has been fixed on ps3 and xbox 360 I believe. Its no more blur and stuff, I zoomed into another player with female character and her tattoo was crystal clear and on many other occasions I saw players with clear tattoos.

It's definitely possible that we'll see clear tattoos and crew emblems in the new version, what with the big technical step up in the new consoles, but as to whether we actually do or not then I guess we'll have to wait and see. I really hope so.

I made a crew emblem for someone on here when we could edit the editor, so to speak, and this is how it looked to me online...

I would *really* like that resolved. Fingers crossed!

On Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare™ you can create emblems (in-game) and they can be viewed on other players (at least on PS4 afaik)

GTA:O can create emblems on pc only (makes you have to buy a $2000 pc on top of a $300 console) and is blurry to everyone

Let's hope next-gen fixes

I think it's a little of both. The texture quality for a lot of things like tattoos aren't all that great on last gen, but if you're using Wi-Fi, you'd notice blurry tattoos easily. When I play plugged in via an Ethernet wire, all textures load up much faster.

Well cod isn't much of a technical marvel so you can expect the devs to work on sh*t like that and not high tech stuff, I totally agree. Look at it this way, gta v is so big that tattoos in online was a 0.001 concern to them making it low priority and cod on the other hand is so small that tattoos or emblems in this case is so much of a concern because the game lacks content, thus making stuff like emblems high priority.

GTAMaster007 has a point.

Developers have this thing that exists that they call "WNF" (Will Not Fix). That's when an issue is reported to them by their internal or third party QA but, after reviewing the issue, they determine that the issue or bug is not significant enough to warrant their attention above other aspects of development.

Blurry tattoos are most certainly a case of WNF if the issue still persists in new gen.

So wall breaches are a case of WNF too, interesting.

I don't think wall breaching can be fix on ps3 and xbox 360, It would take too much work and maybe even impossible due to how the RAGE engine works. One thing I'm 99% sure on, it will be fix on current gen.

Actually, yes, it is, but that's irrelevant.

You said that because you can only create emblems on a PC (which isn't true), it "makes you" buy a $2000 PC.

That isn't skewed. It's just not true, hence the comment about you being negative.

Probably, honestly. I reported two of them myself early on, a short time after the game released and they replied acknowledging the issue. The wall breaches still exist. :(

No it was the fact it wasn't in full HD. Now it will be.

this has absolutely nothing to do with it.

your own tattoos and crew emblems looked just fine

it were all the other players that looked blurry simply because they were really low resolution images

dno why exactly, probably to save some kind of resource (bandwidth or ram or something)
