cryptorelic Posted November 30, 2014 Share Posted November 30, 2014 Purchased a console back in 2002 just for GTA 3 and Vice City, was happy in 2004 when San Andreas made it out before the new consoles got released. Purchased a console back in 2007 just for GTA IV and paid for the online service just for the DLC's. Got a PSP to play Vice City Stories and Liberty City Stories in the past years, so Chinatown Wars. Not two weeks ago i said f*ck it let's buy another console, this time for GTA V. I seriously start to worry about myself here lol but i guess the solution would be to jump over to PC instead of buying new consoles all the time. It has looked better more and more over the last 4 years, I'm guessing because of various patches and updates. The heavy blurriness and saturation is no longer there. Also, a good thing to do is to play around with your HD TV settings, that helps get decent visuals too. Have you actually played both versions of the game? I mean sure, the PS3 version still looks pretty good, and there are lot of upsides of it (f.e. those open suits in the console versions that aren't available in the PC version of the game). But, the graphical difference is huge. The PC version even has the custom radio option, video editor and vehicle headlights were able to produce shadows. Nah, just get it on PC. It looks almost as good as V on PS4, if not better.I'm not being a PC elitist, I'm being serious, as much as the port was crap, GTA IV's graphics were ahead of it's time. I agree, and I'm not even a PC gamer in general. Gta 4 looked so poor on ps3 compared to PC. Of course, I realize how early in the ps3's life the game was developed, and supposedly it was a rough console to develop for in the beginning, but yeah. It looked waaaayyyy better on PC. Indeed. It kinda looked slightly better on XBOX 360, since it had less jaggies, but the PS3 version has slightly better draw distance from what I've seen. If I get a capture card, I might as well make a comparison video for that. The only dang problem is that if i want to play GTA IV, i have to use my poor old 360. I usually just play the game right out of the box and don't bother with changing settings, but in games that I have made adjustments, it always makes a difference. They should compile the PC Version (it's already x86 architecture) for PS4 and XBone with optimized graphics settings. Should be a piece of cake. If you dont want to get a remastered gta 4, then dont get it. Continue playing the old version. I however would love a remastered gta 4. i dont want gta online for gta 4. I dont want first person.
