First Person Racing= More stupid ramming?

It depends how important winning is to you. I would say I'm decent but compared to most of the serious racers out there, I'm below average. Our crew places no emphasis on results tho, we're out there to enjoy the drive and the contest. If I have a good battle against several guys towards the rear of the field and finish in front of them, that's my victory. If I lose then fair play to them, they're my friends, I don't begrudge them it. Basically we enjoy our challenges, you win some, you lose some.

And trust me, if I ever finish 1St in a straight up road race against our quick guys, it's epic. Every win in the crew is worth 500 in random lobbies for me.

It doesn't stop there tho, we're a community. We do all sorts and we have great banter. You can't just complain about the general gaming community, it's huuuuge, it's pointless. There is no general community, there's a population. If you want community you have to take part in its creation. You start one or you join one and you actively participate in its growth.

There's always going to be plenty of people who just want to leech off the community for their own personal satisfaction. You're looking at the majority of GTAO players there. That'll be the source of many complaints about the community being terrible and not giving them the experience they're looking for.

If you're serious about wanting to be part of an actual, integrated community, you know where to look. Don't sit idle and complain, it's a waste of time.

 

 

You know I want to give you some snarky comment coz Im feeling snarky and I suppose I envy the type of fun you are having, but you just speak too much good sense and you're not even being wanky. So yeah, cool.

 

A part of me wants to make a crew with cool people who although are not specifically a racing crew can have well mannered crew races. Not sure I'm up for the dedication, need a good XO, and a good name... its all about the name.

judging by the screens I have seen, real time reflections will not function on cars.

I play Forza 4 for my racing fix. Funny thing, I play races with forced 1st person view online and rarely get pitted.

 

If R* would have put in DECENT driving physics instead of this arcade sh*t there probably wouldnt be nearly as many rammers in racing. Irl and in Forza, if your front tire smashes in another car enough to pit them then your alignment would be f*cked for the rest of the race.

 

Im not saying Gta has to keep up with racing sims but cmon now. As it is in Gta on some turns its literally faster to just ride the guardrail through the ENTIRE turn.

 

And I bet on Ps4Xbone it'll be exactly the same...

I hope R* makes a mental state specific for those who crash often in races (it easy enough considering they already keep track of your total collisions) and start placing them in races with others with similar hit ratio's ( of course its gonna have to be judged on who is crashing into who or what)

 

Or, similar to F1 2012 and others, crashing into racers costs you 10-30 seconds off your overall time.
