Vehicle damage in GTAO Next gen...

Do you guys think it's going to be like how it is in single player for the 360/ps3 say where if you use a dubsta and smash into other NPC cars, that wheels and bumpers will go flying off and cars will take proper damage?

Or do you think its going to be like it is in online currently where wheels and bumpers dont really go flying off?

It will be just as crappy is it is now, along with the Saints Row style vehicle driving physics.

If you want to see more damage, just take off all the armour upgrades and it will now lose all its panels/door ect in crashes and rollovers. Also wheels already do snap off in GTA O, just not all the time.

I personally like the feel of driving in GTA V better than it was in GTA IV and in Watch Dogs.

I feel like driving in GTA V was worse then it was in GTA SA. GTA IV's driving IMO felt awesome.

Back then everybody was bashing Saints Row to death for its unrealistic driving physics ect. Now GTA V feels like a Saints Row game when it comes to driving and all the fanboys are loving it.

Gtav isn't a racing simulator the damage is pretty realistic the driving for some motorcycles and cars are kind of arcadish but gtav is probably the most realistic game if you think about all the mind blowing things now imagine that on ps4/xboxone and pc with everything upgraded from last gen

GTA 5 single player I thought was fine, when you use the 6x6 dubsta and smash into vehicles I think its cool how the wheels go flying off and the car is actually really damaged. But the physics were really dumbed down when it came to online

I expect vehicle damage to be as disappointing as it was on last-gen. GTA IV got it right.

No.

For the same reason I would not want to fly out of my windscreen on GTAO. It will only detract from my playing experience if my Vehicle is damaged, rendered inoperable or looks tacky quicker. That is why R* changed these things compared to SP.

And then LS Customs charges you upwards of five grand cause so asshole keyed your car, then at others times charges you 100 dollars for a car that is being held together by string and duct tape.

The flying out the window is pretty annoying, but the wheels coming out on npc cars (which have no armour) seems cool

Hopefully not because in single player you can explode from crashing into a pebble.

GTA IV got the damage more right than V, since the cars were less robust than in V (but still much more robust than real cars)

The suspension was terribly done in both games since in IV, everything was too soft and now in V, everything is too stiff

This can easily be fixed if someone who knows the slightest about vehicles could change a few numbers, but unfortunately, no one there knows how a real car behaves

same with the weapons.

I hope it's improved, but I'm doubtful.

It's impossible to do demolition derbies.

No it's not. Just don't use your armored up personal vehicle. I made a demo derby deathmatch and you CAN disable other vehicles. They only take so much damage before they stop running. It can be done in less than 5 minutes in my deathmatch,

Listen people, if you want to say you liked GTA IV's sh*t driving and damage modeling more, be my guest, but STOP SAYING it's more realistic. IT'S NOT. GTA IV was FARRRRRRRRRRRRRR from realistic.

I must have been using the wrong vehicles then. I never put on armor.

Just insuring a vehicles doubles the armour.

Wanna see it? Drive down a vehicle from mount chiliad without insuring it, and then again after you have the same vehicle insured.

You're over exaggerating. It's no where near the level of awful you're implying. The driving and damage in GTA V are good. Fun. You want a sim go play a sim. Go buy Wreckfest or BeamNG's Drive if you wanna smash sh*t in a realistic way.

I don't think it will be worked with, realistically.

As much as I would like it, the majority of players would dislike losing tires to accidents and such, and so R* altered the damage values in Online.

That said...I shouldn't only get a bit of body damage after slamming into a concrete building at 200 kph...

Cars in single player last me 2 mins. I'm a good driver but I f*ck around a lot. I would hate to have to ditch a vehicle every time I hit something at more than a snails pace.

I've played both Saints Row and GTA V and I personally would say that Saints Row is pretty much the opposite of IV driving where as GTA V is somewhere in between the two and better than both Imo. The only thing I don't like is the low weight of the cars and how easy it is to drive them.
