Do you guys think its worth getting a preowned ps3?

I wouldn't risk it. There's a plethora of problems that can come with buying one preowned. In fact, I think that earlier this week someone bought a preowned PS3 and it ended up being stolen.

 

If you really want one, just fork out the cash for a new one.

Is it normal that after the game's been installed to the hard drive on GTA IV that I'm waiting for a long while on the Cousins Bellic screen?

I am having problems with my PS3 all of a sudden, it won't read discs! Whether they are Blu-Rays, DVDs, or CD's, they won't read. I am going to send it back to Sony this weekend. Should I pull out the HDD or just back up data and send it? Also, how long is the warranty last?

I don't understand why people send them back to Sony. If mine broke, I would take it to Best Buy where they would give me a new one. But I guess it's because I paid 50 bucks for a one year warranty.

well alot of ppl are under-aged without a job or just cant afford to send it in...mine was still covered by the original warranty when mine broke(own fault) but i hear its pretty expensive to send it in.

Those prices are through the roof! Plus my dad just told me a friend at work got his son one for just over £200

(which I think is ridiculous) I need a less expensive one and fast.

What!!!? £700!?!? Thats either wrong or ridiculous! I thought they were like £300-400 now , i thought there was a price drop?

The 40GB are £300 now. I think the 60GBs are rare I just didnt think they would be £700 rare!

i have the extremely rare 20GB model and i love it...i recently upgrade it to a 250GB HDD so i have more than enough space.

Exactly, I'm returning mine tomorrow after trying to reseat the drive and many restarts. I wanna make sure they set it up in the shop and make sure GTA4 plays.

The current 80gb isn’t for the PAL region, the new one is so he wont be able to play PS2 games.

Been wondering about getting to Youtube via Ps3's internet browser.

When i clicked on a video, it asked me about some plugin, i said No, and the video didnt load, so i guess i should have picked up yes ?

 

@davies, you should also just in case return IV and swap it, it might be the game itself.

Yeah, just got myself the 12th out of 48 trophies in Uncharted.

 

But how do you get them to show at your profile, when you go to friends, then click profile, and that mini gamercard pops, with saying Level 1, Trophies 0,etc...

YES! I watch tons of YT vids on my station. not the greatest quality on a 32" HD TV, but could be worse.

I got my box yesterday and sent it off aswell, it should take about 2 weeks I believe I heard some people say. Mostly just about 1-2 weeks at best for it to come back.

You serious? I was hopping it get it back this week sometime but if it's going to take two weeks to fix.. arg.

In the e-mail it said up to 5 days to fix and then shipping back right away? air mail hopefully.

One of ours broke a few months back (it stopped reading any discs, not just blurays) and it took about two weeks from the day we called them.

 

I have two trophies left to get in Uncharted, the one you get for beating it on crushing, and the one you get for having all the others. I doubt I'll ever get them though, as crushing is an unbelievable bitch on some parts.

 

Anybody here still play Warhawk? I just got it a few days ago since it's cheaper now as a "greatest hits" release. Fun game.

You gotta click Trophy Collection under Game. Then it will say synchronising trophies. They should appear in your profile after that.

Agree'd, Cause i broke the sound on my computer i resulted in watching Video's off the PS3 on youtube & it isn't the best quality on a big screen. I've also tried watching films on here, if it wasn't for the Buffering problem, it would have worked fine

That may be the case, but I have only got my PS3 in May, so I'm not as pissed off as you lol. But, give it time. If they delay it more than this fall, then I probably will give up, too. But, it does look quite interesting.

Im getting mine in a few days and I can wait. I just don know what game to get first. Not MGS4 because i have played the others. will any head set work with it?

Well I posted a few days ago that I was looking to buy a PS3 and I got one ! For £240 I got the ps3 HDMI lead and the headset.

 

Good deal no ?
