  What do you guys think of that game, "The Last Guy"? Those developers sound whacky, but the game looks like it has some potential.

I think it looks mildly interesting, but mostly because of the real world maps.

I suggest trying it on a blog or something, as lots of sites don't work properly because of the way it maps the image.

Some news for the new SOCOM game:

 

 

After a minor delay, SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Confrontation is heading over to store shelves and the PS Store on October 14th. The pricing scheme was also unveiled today, and it looks very similar to another PSN title, Warhawk:

 

 

$59.99 Bundle Version -- Includes the game on Blu-ray, along with the newly designed Bluetooth headset, and some exclusive Behind the Scenes videos.

 

$39.99 Stand Alone Version -- Includes the game on Blu-ray and nothing else.

 

$39.99 via PlayStation Network -- Includes the game downloadable from the PSN and nothing else.

 

Amazon also has a pre-order bonus of five downloadable music tracks -- the Bundle Version is here and the Stand Alone Version is here. No information on a release date outside of the US at this time, however, Sony's goal is to have a simultaneous worldwide release. For more on the game, check out our hands-on impressions.

Yeah you were right Sweets, now I have my first trophy after playing Uncharted again for about 15 minutes , I found the first treasure and that was my first ever trophy. It was the treasure next to the submarine somewhere.

play for about 2 hours and you'll get a bunch, i played uncharted for about that time and i have 13 now.

It doesn't actually mean you will get it, it's more like a raffle. They will look at how active you are on PSN and other criteria. Hopefully some of us get it to see what it is like.

i posted this in the wrong place [go figure..] so, i'll copy and paste it.

 

 

When I turn my PS3 on I'll get an error code 8002aa01..

I'll go up to the XMB menu and nothing will load besides under settings, i tried clicking on the system one and it froze my ps3.. The items loaded after i tried a 3rd time after a while but if i tried clicking on any of them my ps3 would freeze again..

I'm new to this whole Ps3 thing so i really have no idea what I did to it or whats wrong with it..

any help is greatly appreciated. icon14.gif

Guys, I bought an HDMI cable a couple of days ago for only $13. And man, is the difference incredible. Seriously, I can't believe I was playing without it for almost a year now. I can never go back. Especially playing GTA IV. The city and atmosphere in the game is way better now. I don't want to know how it looks on MGS4.

 

You guys have to get one.

You know, not all of us own fancy pants HD TV's to hook up with HDMI cables you know (even though I do ). It does offer great picture and sound quality. I love it just as much, but I barely ever use it as the TV it can be used on is always in the shop or working when I am not at my Dad's, then I have to use standard definition.

Using an HDTV without HDMI cables or at least good component cables is a waste. Playing or watching something on an HDTV without HDMI looks actually a lot worse than an SDTV does.

I dont own a PS3, but if you get a 60GB you can play ps2 games on it, so theres no point in the other option. Although I hear 60GB are in short supply

get the 60gb version, it's already backwards compatable, so you don't need a PS2. And for your first game, duh, GTA IV!

80GB SKU's are coming very soon, I for one won't be buying one, but I'll be buying the 40GB. Don't ask.

 

Any way I got a question, I own one of the USB modems that I use to go on the internet, and don't have a router.

 

Is there any way I can get the PS3 online with it?

According to this it wont be backwards compatible with PS2 games. So the 60gb (as rare as it is) is still the best version to get if you can find it for those that still wish to play PS2 games on it.
