Can I play a ps3 on any TV

 

You can play the PS3 on any television, yes.

 

However, people have complained that the picture quality is diluted on SDTV's

and the font is sometimes hard to read.

The font is mainly the biggest problem, otherwise, the games look fine. My friend plays on a SDTV and the only thing he has complained about is text.

I was nearly blinded by the flickering when I loaded up Google on a CRT, plus the PS store is crap for navigating on a CRT

No. You can't do that since the drive inside the PS3 does not write to discs.

Thats what I thought. I can only copy the movie in my PS3.

I had no flickering on my old TV but the new one does give a better picture although I wouldn't have bothered if I had the choice, the old one broke, how convenient

I only have five PS3 games so i won't bother posting a picture of those.

BR movies are still hard to find in these parts since legit retailers are slowly closing shop (rampant SE asian piracy vs. legit businesses)

 

kinda funny tho given the scarcity of bluray titles available here yet they (sony asia) still tout that everyone should buy a bluray player (and strangely haven't suggested a PS3 instead given the price )

Wow you got alot of PS3 games and BluRay Movies, then again the PS3 has been out longer for you (USA right?), and the Box art is a little different for PS3 and PS2 games for you also, ours (UK) are usualy in a blue box.

 

I would take a pic of my set up but havn't got my HDTV back yet, so il wait till then (hopefuly tomoro).

 

Is that 2 Copies of Warhawk and Motorstorm i can see in the last pic? (Bottom left and Mid Right).

 

And i see you like Smallville lol, which season is that you have on Blu-Ray? i was thinking about getting Season 6 (only one i dont gave on DVD) on BR, but dunno how much better it is on BR than DVD. I also Have the BTTF boxset, although min looks much shinyer than yours lol.

Yeah, two copies of Warhawk and Motorstorm. Those are my brother's copy.....

 

And it's season 6 of Smallville on Blu-ray. I would get the others too but they are not available on Blu-ray yet.....and the back to the future set I have was from Walmart I think, double-sided which I don't really like but at least I can watch the movies again when I want.

 

And about how Smallville is on Blu-ray.....it's nice quality.....better than DVD but not as good as some other blu-ray movies but that's expected since it is a television show.

I got it for Resident Evil.....but what made the purchase worth it was PowerStone since Capcom ported Code Veronica to the PS2, I still can't believe that they did that. I also bought a Gamecube because of them.....for RE4 and we all know what happened to that...but I still find it funny that the game that actually was exclusive to the DC was also made by Capcom......(it is now available for PSP but it's still console exclusive.)

 

I actually have three Dreamcast units....but the other two don't work.

Not sure in the U.S or Europe but they are coming out in Japan so my guess is it will come to the rest of the world after.

I have a serious question... What printers ACTUALLY work with the PS3 system?! I didn't look into this all over, but I was happy to see it say Epson and Canon, two I own, but they will not work however. Must be some fancy new model vs PC based CD ROM driver USB port ones from years back?! I dunno.

 

I lost the ability to get an online signal with my PS3 so it will be hard to challenge anyone or download updates and warez... I can't figure it out but even my laptop has issues with the signal I had.

 

Not looking to debate buying a router, but many people in my apt complex have routers active and most are locked of course, I think it just narrows the field for grabbing an unlocked one with so many others. Just something to keep in mind if one is trying to use the Wifi effectively. I use dialup as my own account, but very rarely these days.

Plans to use free Wifi around town fell into problems locally, and the city is to my East but rather close by... Obviously going out for Wifi ain't gonna cut it! hahaha
