Thanks for the replies... still debating whether to spend $400 or $500

If you don't want backwards compatibility, spend $400. If it is a little important, spend $500. The $500 version also gets you a card reader and two more USB ports compared to the $400 version.....if those extras sound good to you go for the $500 but you could always get the 40GB and buy an external USB hub or card reader...

I have a 40gb playstation 3 i got on Christmas. earlier tonight i was playing motorstorm and all of a sudden it freezes. and so i turn it off and restart the console i take the game out,and put in GH3 and it has the loading thing up top but wont load the disc the disc icon wont pop up.

so i restart again and it just doesn't even try o load like there is no disc in there. same with all my other games.so i am here asking you could you please help and tell me.

I think it's the bluray drive problem. Wait so see other people's opinion.

Take it back from where you got it and get a new one.

I'm not sure if you can do anything about that.

 

And it really doesn't matter which way you placed the PS3.

 

But just try not to move it a lot while it's running a disc.

where can i buy them.

i have a flash drive (i think it is, its one of those USB things that you put stuff from your computer in via USB) but when i plug it into the usb on my ps3 it just shows it and when i click on it it shows nothing.

1. Insert USB stick

2. Go to your gamesave folder

3. Select a gamesave with Triangle

3. Select "copy"

4. Select "USB Flash Drive" or something

5. You're done

 

1. When or if you format your HD or get a new PS3 just plug USB into the PS3

2. Go to game saves on your PS3

3. Select "USB Flash Drive" or whatever it calls the thing you stick in there

4. Select a save from the Flash Drive with Triangle

5. Select Copy (It will automatically copy to your PS3's HD)

6. ???

7. Profit

Which one can I just wait for the sequel to? I'll probably pick Assassin's since the next game might be totally different and Uncharted doesn't look like it has much replay value.

I think Uncharted has more replay value compared to Assassins Creed and there are plenty of rewards you can unlock in Uncharted that will make you want to go through it again. I like both games though so you can't go wrong with either since both are fun but I prefer Uncharted a little bit more so I would recommend Uncharted.....it's a great story, great gameplay.....it is worth playing.

 

It would be better if you could get both! =)

Personally, I am looking forward to MGS4, GTA4, Little Big Planet and Resident Evil 5. I really can't wait to see what RE5 is going to be like.....it being the top of my list. The Resident Evil series is one of my favorites...
