Guys, I plan to buy a PS3 somewhere soon and I have a question:

 

Is it worth getting PS3 Super Slim 12 GB? Heard it sucks a bit compared to PS3 Slim 160/320 GB. And with that 12 GB HDD, is it not too little?

Get the 12gb PS3 then upgrade it's hardrive

Do you like, work for Sony or something? Your plan just ends up costing more, and having a sh*ttier product. PS3 super slims are bad enough, and you want him to remove the little warranty he'll get with it?

Nahh Mate, you can get a 250gb hardrive for $80 in australia

 

And you can buy a 12gb superslim for $229 here, so it ends up being 300 bucks which is cheaper then anything else.

Oh my bad, I assumed it would cost more.

12gb does sound really too little for any gamer, even my original fat 40gb, I had to delete stuff from it to make space!

It's used for chatting with people online, and you can use it as a main sound output on your ps3

 

For example you could have the sound comming from your PS3 into the headset... If that made any sense.

Ok so got a new model 500gb for christmas. I had done abit of research before hand. The 12gb is good if you have ps+ where you can save most of your data online(xbox comes in a 4gb). Also Sony sell a PS3 hdd which can be swapped (my local had 160gb) and if installed by an authorized dealer the factory warranty is still void.

 

oh and whats the best program for streaming between a PC and PS3.

Yeah, but I can't even get the PS3 to accept the disc while it is on, what I have to do is:

1. Take out original game

2. Put in other game

3. Turn off PS3

4. Wait till I hear the eject sound

5. Then I wait until it starts loading.

Yeah, but I can't even get the PS3 to accept the disc while it is on, what I have to do is:

1. Take out original game

Nope, you can install any Hard Drive as before, you just need a Hard Drive Bracket if you're upgrading a 12GB one, because the 12GB Is Flash Memory it's just attached in there with no bracket (because it's not moving), you can buy a bracket for £6 or so online and then whatever Hard Drive you want.

 

As for the warranty thing, you NEVER Void your warranty anyway, even on the older original models or the new ones, if you install it yopurself or get someone else to install it, so I don't know where that came from.

The official ps3 hdd's come with or without the bracket. I mite snap a pic when Im out today.

But now I can't shoot ANY of the SHOTGUNS at all, since I havn't played BF3 in 2+days, I can't controll the USAS anymore.
