What the hell is going on? I just got home from work, finishing watching the basketball game (Miami vs Bulls), then play some Black Ops. As I was playing online, it frozed up, then went to the main menu with a error saying "Another User has signed in into this account" or some sh*t. IDK, I'm callin sony for this sh*t.

Harddrive change question

 

WHen swapping your PS3 hard drive do you have to back up the installs? or just the saves, i don't remember.

You just have to reinstall the installs from the disk itself.

PlayStation Store Returns on May 24th According to Memo

Let me just check- is PSN back online for anyone at the moment? It never got back for me because of the delay in asia. I got an email saying i could login and change pwd but then it went down for everyone, and the webpage was is in maintenence mode too.

It's back. I just changed all the passwords on all my other users and accounts.

The email I got gives me this link:

and it's still saying maintenance, and trying to login on the ps3 says 'the network is undergoing maintenance.

Maybe my region is still being held up by govt regulators, but then I doubt sony would've sent the email saying they're back up.

 

I dunno. I might trying sending their support service an email . Wish me luck with that.

yeah it's a bit confusing - I'm sure the address in my psn acct details is for here in korea, but since I'm australian I put that in other details (so like in GT5 online I'd show up with an oz flag) so maybe the email was sent to australian members but not korean... ?

All the other links in the email were pointing to the eu.playstation website.

Aside from the PSN problem, can anyone help me with this?

 

My videos I just transferred to my hard disk won't show up in the PS3. So when I did the 'display all' thing, my videos that has been transferred just now are not showing up. I still have my videos I copied from my PC on the hard drive from a month ago. So why is this one not showing up?

 

Turns out the video files were .mkv which the PS3 doesn't support

PSN is now back on in Australia yay!

 

I also ordered a new PS3 hardrive, 7200rpm this time, slightly faster its supposed to be, i was like an extra 10 bucks so why not.

Yeah, i know, but i still wanted to post my little "yay" as a sidenote in my post regarding my new harddrive.

 

On the subject of my new hardrive, my saves do not work i transferred them via usb but it says "you did not create this save"

 

If i back them up via the internet and then put them onto the new harddrive will it work?

I think the Playstation Store is back in Australia, and I assume everyone's on it downloading their free stuff which has overloaded the server and I get an error code. Because, before I used to get; The Playstation Store is currently undergoing maintenance

if you get all the free stuff from being a plus member then Wipeout HD would already be free...not sure if sony would let that slip tho.

According to SONY it will be up by the end of this week. But they've set time frames before and missed them so nothing is for sure.
