Same here, I've got a few accounts on mine as well.

I never actually thought about this but Sony knows that everybody has multiple accounts considering only about 42 million PS3's have been sold yet there are 77 million accounts lol, so I think it'll only be to the console.

Yeah, I'd think that's most likely the case.

 

I'm sure they really don't want to be exploited any further.

What if I have multiple accounts each with different regions? Do I get the 2 games each from that different accounts?

what's the problem with people preferring to play games with friends ? or people that rather the challenge of playing against real people rather than AI?

 

I'm a casual gamer, since ps1 I've always had more enjoyment playing either split screen with friends and family or online multiplayer, sure I do enjoy the story mode, but like any book or movie I read, its not something I do over and over again, the only real replayability value IMO is multiplayer.

sure most people move on to other games, the COD series is the worse for this, but to me GTA online will always be my number one game to play... a lot of people I play with on it are those that I've played with over the last 2 -3 years !

Don't get me wrong I love having a game me and a bunch of friends can play, but they're not gonna be on all the time to play it, or play it forever so you gotta take into account the enjoyability of the singleplayer, plus a lot of developers these days add in factors to increase the replayability of singleplayer in games.

Still no PSN here. I found out it's the Japanese govt wanting sony to explain fully what they have done to improve the system before they'll let Japan go back online. And either korea is on the same server, or the korean (and according to the news I read, some other asian countries) govt is asking the same question.

Sadly no. I think our servers is the same with Singapore, so if they're online, we're online. And I still haven't got the 'email' to change my passwords

You don't get an email. The PS3 will fail to log in (and you have to choose sign in) and it will tell you that your password has expired and you will have to change it then.

Well then PSN isn't up yet in your country.

I'm having hard time deciding what games to chose I'm chosing LBP for sure but not sure the other game. I played the Infamous demo long ago and didn't quite like it, maybe because it was a demo. Haven't played Wipeout so can't commend on that. But Dead Nation seems really awesome.

 

So far I'm thinking with going with LBP and Dead Nation

You don't get the e-mail if you have purchases tied to your account and you are using the PS3 you made the account on.

I changed the password on both my UK and US account and helped my Sister change her password, no e-mail was needed for either of them and now all of them are back and running fine.

Pretty good selection of games. I'm getting Little Big Planet for sure. Other than that, I don't know. Ratchet and Clank and WipeOut are great games, but not what I want. So it's between inFamous and the other I can't recall at the time. What do you guys think?

Can someone please help me?

 

Right now I just tried to sign to the PSN and of course it told me to change my password. When I clicked 'yes', it told me that an email had been sent to me. I went to the email and opened up the link to change my password. The link does not work and I have made the PSN send another email to me. Again it did not work.

 

I was really looking forward to finally being able to play online with my friends but it does not work.

 

All help is appreciated and I thank you very much in advance .

 

EDIT: I'm very disappointed with Sony as I thought they were tightening the security of the PSN during the downtime and those hackers need to leave us Playstation gamers alone!

Well since it's back offline, the exploit doesn't work anymore. But yeah, Sony kept getting screwed...

 

Here's the way if anyone wants to know (which doesn't work anymore):

 

 

1) Navigate to : https://store.playstation.com/accounts/reset/resetPassword.action?token (this is normally, via email, https://store.playstation.com/accounts/reset/resetPassword.action?token=YYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY with the y's being a unique token) - do not enter the code at this point.2) Open a new tab in firefox, and go to fr.playstation.com (other pages will work too most likely), and click Login (Connexion)3) Click Recover password4) Enter the email and date of birth of the target account5) Click continue, then on the confirmation page, click "Reset using E-mail"6) Switch back to the original tab, and enter the code, then click continue7) You will now be asked to enter a new password for the target account
