Where'd you get that at? I've been looking all over for one of those.

Danish webshop. They're all over the intarwebs, though. It was recently released onto the European market, so if it's been a while since you searched for it last, try giving it another go. smile.gif

I'm in the US and so far every US retailer I've checked doesn't have them. Perhaps I'm not wording my searches correctly?

Looks very slick, might get one when i have some spare change and stick some LED's on it.

It has LEDs on it. Three to be exact. One for power, and a status LED for each of the charging docks. tounge.gif

Here's a few pictures of my setup now that I received a few more goodies:

Oh great, saves me the hassle of learning to solder! biggrin.gif Slick looking setup now mate. How much did that bluetooth keyboard thingy cost you?

Only 15 euros or so. It's made in China, and it's rather flimsy, but my PS3 had no trouble detecting it, and it works mighty fine. It's a lot niftier than having a big bulky keyboard lying around, or those silly ones you attach to your controller. smile.gif

LBP2 DEMO!!!!

Mass Effect 2 demo

and Dead Space 2 demo

Holy sh*t.

EDIT:

I just played the Mass Effect 2 demo, it was great. Nothing incredible though, but it's great. Minor negative things are the Bioware intro logo is really low quality, same thing when it shows us what happened in the first Mass Effect. It's like a 240p video in youtube. confused.gif

Now I'm still waiting for LBP2 to finish downloading... 81%

Wouldnt those stands be a high risk in having the game discs scratched

Why would that be a problem? mercie_blink.gif

Edit: Ok, I know it's only been a few minutes, but I'm gonna go ahead and assume you've got diminished mental capacity.

Seriously though, what would a stand have to do with scratching disks?

So long as the disc is spinning in the same direction it won't scratch it just when you move the console diagonally when there's a spinning disc it could move but the people who made the PS3 have common sense and know this so they design it inside so it can't scratch unlike Xbox, no fanboy just factboy wink.gif

I remember my PS3 falling off the damn table from the upright position while I was playing DiRT.(my dog got caught in some wires)

The f*cker didn't even skip!

Not to mention, no weird noises, and no damage.

I was seriously surprised.

Nope, this isn't a Microsoft product tounge2.gif How would the stand and the angle affect the discs?

Currently in the market for a heat gun so I can attempt to reflow the solder in my PS3. A couple of videos have lead me to believe it's completely within my realm of ability, so once I get a hold of a decent heater it's a go.

Good luck, man. My friend and I both used a heat gun on our YLOD fats. Mine worked for just under two months and my friend's worked for just under three. We fixed ours together and used the same heat gun so I'm not exactly sure why mine failed first. My PS3 is on its second reflow right now and is dealing fairly well, but I can't imagine this one being permanent either.

My only advice is to backup all of your important saves every time you shutdown your console. You will likely have zero warning before your PS3 takes a dump and YLODs again. Leave a 1GB SD card in your PS3 or something like that so it's hassle free. Mine worked just long enough for me to start get getting comfortable with it again. I stopped backing up my saves and basically just expected it to boot every time. So just try to remember that it will die again. Shifty41s_beerhatsmilie2.gif

Well... I just got 7 games off PSN biggrin.gif!

Crash Bandicoot 1 & 2

Silent Hill

Burn Zombie Burn!

Wild Arms

NovaStrike

And Mortal Kombat 2.

With my Sister being here for Christmas (After not seeing her for 4 years) I downloaded Crash Bandicoot 1 & 2. Because when my sister still lived with us, Her and her friends would play Crash all the time and being the little kid i was. I would watch them play.

So seeing her play like 8 years later. It was soo heartfelt to see her remembering all the levels and all the secrets even today.. well it was nice. For a minute i felt like a child watching my sister play Crash again.

Thanks: you've just lit my face with a smile. I used to play Crash all the time with my big sister too. smile.gif

@ Jost - Unless there is something that you really, really want, for some reason, RDR is your best bet. What games are you considering?

It would help if you gave a list of games you already have.

U2 is a year old and IV is 3 years old....

Whatever, AC B and Heavy rain are what I asked for Christmas. But other great games I have and would suggest are GoW3, RDR, and COD BO.

Heavy Rain is a great game the first time you play through it and dont know the storyline. Although the only downside to the game is that there isnt much replay value after the first go through the storyline but i will say its is my 3rd fav game to be released this year.

Yeah i played through the multiple endings for the trophy aswell, but i didnt always start from the beggining of the story i would start half way through to save some time, so i guess there is more replay value to it than i got out of it. I guess i just wanted the trophies and was lazy dontgetit.gifbiggrin.gif

Mine's a launch fatty as well. I was good this year, and happen to know Santa is bringing a slim in a few days, but there will always be a spot in my heart for the original. I basically want to get it to work long enough to create a backup, but if it continues to work longer, that's fine with me.

It's funny- I deleted a backup about a week before my PS3 crashed in order to clear up extra room for recovered data from a crashed PC. sneaky2.gif
