I Hope. Ive been Wanting to Pick up Metal Gear Soild for awhile now. but the trophies are gonna make me wanna pick it up more.

did either of u two read the article the update clearly says will NOT be updated with trophies and there are NO plans to do so. sorry guys

At the time i posted that the update about MGS4 not getting any trophies hadn't been posted yet

so don't blame either of us for not knowing that MGS4 wouldn't be getting trophies did you stop to think that if i had known that MGS4 wasn't getting trophies then i wouldn't have posted it.

Yes several games got trophy updates a few years back like Uncharted, Force Unleashed and The Last Guy.

I've been wanting to jailbreak my PS3, but I don't know what will happen to my account or my PS3 if I get caught by Sony. Wait, will I get caught by Sony if I jailbreak?

Deniro: You very well could get your PSN account banned from signing in if you were to jailbreak and get online. I personally don't know anybody that it's happened to, but I don't really know that many jailbreakers. Of the JB forums I visit, only 2 members claim to have been "banned." But yes, so long as Sony knows the proper place to look (which has been posted all over by now on dev sites), they can quite easily tell if your console is jailbroken.

 

Pros: Backup/download games to your internal/external HDD and play without disc; Use homebrew (emulators); Use Linux/Ubuntu

Cons: Inconsistent access to PSN; Sony may ban/sue your ass

Since this is the PS3 topic i thought i would ask a question.

 

I want to get a USB mobile internet card so i can use my laptop anywhere i go (you plug it into the side of your computer and it picks up wireless internet signal that my provider broadcasts) anyway, can you install the modem software (via disc) onto the playstation 3 and plug the net card in and play online?, or do i have to set it up on my computer then run a cable across to the playstation?

Since you can't install the pen's software in the PS3, I'd say no. I'm not entirely sure how it would work with a computer, either, I doubt the PC can pull that off.

 

However, just like you can download the internet onto that USB drive (), there are a few wireless router drives as well, that not only connect the computer they're hooked up to, but can also emit a wireless signal around them.

Did a little investigating while I'm PSN-enabled, and it seems that JB'd systems' pkgs (backup managers, ftp programs, file managers, ect) broadcast over PSN by whatever they are named. This means whenever I'm in "blackb0x FTP 1.1," everyone else knows. I only find this scary because this means Sony doesn't even have to dig to see us running a backup manager. I'm thinking of renaming "Gaia Manager" to "Call of Duty: Black Ops" lmao

 

On a side note, I find it hilarious independent coders' apps are fully XMB-integrated and broadcast their own names over PSN, while PS1/PS2 emulation still lacks in both.

Okay im getting a tad Pissed at my PSN Trophy card down there. It says ive gotten Trophies on Army of two last.

 

But I got like 11 Trophies from Call Of Duty: Black Ops. and they havent showed up. its been almost a week now.

If you look closely you'll see your trophy number go up with each Black Ops one earned it's just the site doesn't have the mentioned trophy icons so it wont display.

I know this works on the 360 but what you can do is connect your laptop to the PS3 via ethernet cable and as long as your laptop is connected to the net with your mobile broadband it should bridge the connection and allow the PS3 to get on the net & PSN etc.

Can anybody sign in to PSN? It gave me that damn 'DNS' error over and over again.

 

I did the usual ways to solve it like restart the PS3 or plug off the modem for 10 seconds. None of'em seem to work

Yeah mate, sometimes you can buy bundles that have a HDMI cable included, but unless it specifically says so, then you'll need to buy it seperately.

Yep, the collection is available on one disc in Europe only! Comes out tomorrow over here infact (got mine today though). Everyone else will have to get the games through the PS store.
