It's combined with IV, just look at the very bottom in the Grand Theft Auto IV trophies, they're marked with the plus thingy.

Anyone here played the PSMini game Coconut Dodge? I've never downloaded one of those Mini's before, but this one looks rather good. They can be played on PS3 aswell as PSP right?

Firmware update 3.42 is out and it blocks the jailbreak. I wonder how much would it take to update the dongles.

 

 

 

P.S: You can bypass 3.42 update with LG5's tool and use online on 3.41, lulz.

The hack lets your run open source homebrew aside from playing games without the Blu ray in the disk drive. It's still impossible to modify the original content of a game.

I'm thinking of getting it. Heard that it works with MAG so that could be something different (pity you have to buy the gun seperate though.)

 

As for the hacking, the people that do it are fools, and just be ready to need to move house.. lol They will just eventually block everyones IP that is doing this lol

Just beat Batman: Arkham Asylum.

 

It's a great game, it followed up perfectly on the impression the demo left me with. The combat system, while simple, is effective, fun and challenging, even. Makes justice to its name: "freeflow". Beat the game on Hard, and it delivered, again, just what it promised. It wasn't crushing, like Uncharted claims to be, just challenging. The gameplay felt quite familiar, like I came back home, while retaining a fresh appeal. Even with the old school patterned bosses. The graphics are already showing signs of the moving times. That's not to say they look bad - they don't, at all. Just something I noticed.

 

The story and the ambience were immersive. Having Hamill cast has the Joker again was magical. Quite a few classic villains in the story, and many more referenced more or less subtly. The game wraps up the universe neatly. You can unlock the biographies of a big roster of Batman characters. *small spoiler*You can also find around the map tapes with recorded interviews with selected patients during their psych evaluations, which just adds more depth to the game and to the universe, leaving you with a refreshed idea of canon. Also, the game advances the said canon by introducing hidden messages in the walls of the Asylum, left by Amadeus Arkham himself, telling the story of the institution. The game was also a bit darker than I expected, but that's probably because I didn't imagine it as driven. Batman games are often no-frills beat 'em ups. However, hearing the Riddler's voice out of f*cking nowhere in some places helped.

 

I beat the story in two days. However, Arkham still awaits me. Parallel to the story, there are many secrets left by a certain Edward Nigma in the Asylum, from hidden items to riddles to "mystery items". After that, the game has plenty of challenges to complete, testing your combat and stealth skills. I can't help but to draw a parallel with Mirror's Edge - the main story is complemented by a series of time trials.

I fully agree with what you say on AA. The game has so much to do besides the main story and is probably the best comic-game to come out in recent years.

 

I take it your going for the platinum for it? If so prepare yourself for the frustration that is the challenge rooms! Especially one called "shock and awe", that alone had me furious for many days until I finally beat it!

I still haven't updated mine, I disabled the internet connection for now while I make up my mind. I'm seriously considering hacking my PS, I just need to do alot more reasearch but I've been digging alot on different modding sites. Still haven't figured out the bypass tool, it confuses me.

I might as well, you know me. The story was short, and he's a good friend, so I don't any any specific rush. Also, I remember unlocking Shock and Awe during the story, it's probably the only challenge name I know at this point. Must be a sign!

 

I'll try my best not to use a guide at all for the challenges. Really loved those things. Just to think the minutes I lost after spotting a bright green question mark somewhere... Well, I only caught two, but those two did my head in a bit. Remember the Penguin riddle? There's a question mark in the room, in detective mode. I tried foolishly scanning it instead of searching around the room. It came out "Object not properly aligned" or "Object out of view", and I climbed everywhere and tried every angle until I gave up and saw the case in front of me.

 

 

Hahaha, a very minor spoiler, but I have to share this. The Riddle claims that you are cheating as you finish nearly all of his riddles, asking if we're looking them up on the internet!

Apparently yesterday China & Russia banned the sale/distro of any/all PS3 jailbreaking devices. Sony themselves are working with Chinese customs ripping apart every package coming in looking for them. If it hadn't left the country by the 15th, faggeddaboudit. I'm currently sitting in a chat via DHGate with my Chinese distributor (which happened to be a Factory order, aka straight from the factory, aka THIS sh*t AINT GUNNA COME) awaiting my fate. I'm 90% sure it's been seized. Currently looking into other options out of Europe, or cough up the $70 for the eBay guy outta Cali..

It freezes all the time, sometimes even at the PS Store... Also, there's a lot of visual glitches in my games/demos... I don't know how to explain, but it is like, random textures coming out of nowhere (sky, characters, etc...)

I played every game I have on my friend's PS3, and they have no problem at all, so I think the problem is with my PS3...

 

EDIT: It's a 40GB PS3. bought in 2008

Only Shock and Awe left to platinum Batman. The level really took me by surprise - I had all three medals before I even got to round 4 on my first try. Was going 'round my business when I noticed the timer was flashing red. That time limit is just evil.
