On my to-buy list right now is Gran Turismo 5, Uncharted 2, Tekken 6, FIFA 10/11.

Don't forget LittleBigPlanet 2, and are you buying both FIFA 10 and 11 or are you just confused on which one to get?

The LBP demo was very interesting, and LBP is no doubt going to be huge. I'd have to properly play it to find how what it's really about.

 

Regarding FIFA, it depends when I buy it. I don't feel these types of games deserve their base price. In fact, the last football game I bought close to release date was FIFA 2003, on the PS1.

I should really have four though, I have every trophy unlocked for GTA IV except that retarded one of getting the highest possible rank in multiplayer and that Petrovic one. The funny part is Petrovic is only bronze. lol

Everyone in my friends list that got the Collection have platinum in all three games, if I recall correctly. It isn't a particularly good sample, but hey, we do what we can.

I'm kinda like that. However, all the games in my collection are worth it. Not to sound too full of myself, but it's true. My parents finally bought me a PS1 when I was, what, 7-8 years old? No kid has a decent gaming budget. I've always had to make sure that what I got was very good. In fact, I'm not only surprised that the games are somewhat short, I'm also surprised that, with less than a year after owning a PS3, I already have 4-6 games.

Canoxa, are you looking for some time to kill? My main Fallout 3 file had over 120 hrs on it, and that was before the DLC was released. Look for the game of the year edition for everything bundled relatively inexpensive (for the amount of content), whet your appetite for New Vegas, and start studying for the G.O.A.T.

 

EDIT: Wipeout HD will take you FOREVER to platinum. Well, a really really long time.

i would advise against the Fallout 3 GOTY because its buggy as sh*t and bethesda didnt care enough to patch it Point Lookout and Broken Steel were almost unplayable for me.

Its been slow as f*ck and glitching on me for the past two weeks and just this morning it crapped out on me. damn thing wont even get to the startup screen. I cant even f*ckin turn it off, it just does those 3 beeps that sounds like a microwave.

 

My mom lost the f*cking warranty and I just bought abunch of new games. F*CK SONY

That's just horrible luck bro. My fat PS3 lasted me for about 3 years before crapping out. So then I fixed it, worked for a month, broke again, fixed it up again, and sold it working for $200 and bought a Slim. Which has been flawless since acquiring it for about a month now.

Sorry to hear that man. My fatty lasted from December 07 to May 09, then when I fixed it, it only lasted 9 months before it crapped out on me again. Don't fix it, just buy a slim.

it cost me $315AUD to fix, but its probably cheaper in Canada. Anyway, if you fix it, it'll just be a matter of time before it breaks again.

I've had my launch 60gb for about 4 years now. For the last 6 months it has been folding pretty much nonstop. It is well ventilated in an air-conditioned room, and I dust it out about once a year.

Can someone explain to me something about PS3 protected game save files? Does protected game save files mean I can't transfer my save from one PS3 to another? Or copy that save to my USB? If I'm able to copy that protected save file to my USB and delete that file from my PS3 it means I can't copy it back to my PS3?

Can someone explain to me something about PS3 protected game save files? Does protected game save files mean I can't transfer my save from one PS3 to another? Or copy that save to my USB? If I'm able to copy that protected save file to my USB and delete that file from my PS3 it means I can't copy it back to my PS3?

Protected save files are protected, means you cannot backup them on a USB, copy to another PS3, or just backup somewhere in case PS3 dies.

When i try to get into account management i get this error code 80023017.

 

When i try to log into PSN i get this service is not available in your region/country.

 

Last time i went on PSN was the 18th of this month and i had no problem getting on PSN then so why can't i get on it now, should i wait a few days before trying to log in again.

 

Has anyone else had this error i turned my PS3 off and then back on and i still couldn't get into PSN i hope this is temporary as i am getting a 320 GB PS3 next month and i would like to have this very annoying problem resolved by then.

 

According to this link PSN is merely down for maintenance i hope that's true i thought my PS3 was about to die.

Sony should announce when they are going to do PSN maintenance, for all i know they did i haven't been on the internet much lately so they could have done and i wouldn't have seen it.

It is psn maintenance not your PS3 problem.

 

An official announcement from sony wouldn't have hurt it would have been better than letting PS3 owners try to log in only to find PSN inaccessible.

Both are very good but GOW 3 is superior in many ways. Graphics, story, fight vareity and puzzles. Dont get me wrong POP TFS is still a great game but very easy, a definite if your a platinum/achievement whore but GOW 3 is stunning.

 

In terms of storyline again GOW 3 wins hands down. A big cast of characters keeps the plot interesting, more so if you have played the previous 2 games. POP not only being very easy is very short.

I heard the news, but I haven't looked into it in detail. What method did they use? Did the hackers hit the flash memory or is it only a software hack?

It's supposed to be just a usb stick with the jailbreak on, I wouldn't advise buying this unless you prefer not to support game developers that make games you enjoy.

 

When it's DLC though I think that's ok to share as lots of the time it's a rip off like red dead redemption charges you for maps already in the game so f*ck that and sometimes it's already on the disc and they charge for unlock code which is bad.
