This should have been done a long time ago for the PS3. And Sony can do it, they're just slow as f*ck.

Microsoft owns a patent for the ability for gaming consoles to play music while a game is playing.

Wow. It's still worth getting at full price, though. I picked up some fairly new games the other day that were about $35 cheaper than full price. I got Saints Row 2 to mess around on, and it's a pretty good game with a lot of random crap to do, and it was only $25. Stuff like that is definitely worth picking up. I'm guessing it's so cheap because of all the add-ons. Burnout Paradise dropped in price once the new island came out as well.

I've got custom tracks for all games, and they sound just like part of the game, plus you can independently adjust the volume and switch tracks.

 

Cost me under $5.

Is anyone else tired of the plane, boring and limited amount of avatar/icons available for use on your PS profile card? I really hope a future system update includes either more choice or the ability to choose your own uploaded on your PS3 (within reason).

I've been hoping they'd add in more avatars for ages, i just want a whole bunch of new fresh ones, they don't even need to do a title update to add them in.

Yeah agreed. I would also like that option of taking ingame screenshots and saving on XMB which was announced way back earlier, but never happened.

Pretty sure it happened. Once again, another thing devs must want in their game for it to work. I know at one point I somehow had more than a few pics from that "interactive art" thing from the PStore saved on my HDD. Somehow got them without realizing it.

While I deeply enjoy all the exclusive games they provide us, it'd be nice if they put their time into hard work on the PSN.

Hmm firmware 3.0 has sparked rumors of a new xmb so maybe we will see improvements then if its true.

Sony confirmed it was fake. They are always very quick to denunk rumours, but they never do much work on firmware (Apart from 2.40).

Well one of Sony's guys said nothing has been announced or confirmed yet. That doesn't nessesarily mean it's completely out. Plus, it's expected to be released by Christmas time.

 

I mean, people can't just randomly make up and say something about a new PS3 firmware, can they?

How come on Xbox 360 you can listen to music on any game you want without a problem?

Because it was a part of the xbox from the beginning so it was standard for developers to, well, develop for it. But it came onto the PS3 scene after a couple years or so and developers haven't seen the need to adapt their games for the 'new' features.

I know, I know, this probably has an easy answer. But they don't cover it in the manual, or the online counterpart. I've done some googling, etc. but I'm not finding it.

Just scroll to the total right of the XMB (Playstation menu). There you will find your friends list with all the options.

not gonna happin though. R* im sure is moving on into agent.

as far as texting a friend, go to the friend you want to send a message to. Push the triangle button, you will see a list of options pop up, now just go to create message.

Oh, and you can add people via players meet, or by typing in their name manualy in add a friend. It's in the friends list column.

Don't forget that the triangle button to brings up the menu to text (message) and add friends.

Why get rid of a PS3? It's awesome.

 

It depends on the place you're selling it. If it's to a game store, it's gonna be for less, but you can probably get a lot more off eBay. But the PS3 is dropping in price, so if you're gonna do it, do it fast.

Normally I'd say just sell it to a game shop, but since you're selling such a large amount of stuff do it over eBay. You'll get at least a couple of hundred extra dollars for the effort.

Don't sell it to a gameshop. You'll get ass f*cked. Your best bet is to try ebay or craigslist.
