Talking about Home, I got 3 PS accounts (UK, USA & Japan) pretty pissed off I needed to install Home on all three accounts, and also annoying annot use clothes I bought from the UK Home on the USA

Aren't updates mandatory? If an update screws up a few consoles, Sony usually makes it optional until they fix the problem. So if you haven't updated, you haven't lost access to the store or online.

Oh yeah, it explains how my map pack worked on CoD4 even though it was a 2nd hand copy. Only just thought of that.

DC, games that support online multiplayer won't even allow you to transfer your game saves over to your new account. (At least it didn't work for me.) Let alone trophies.

And can anyone give me the instruction to put in a Hard Drive into my PS3, I only have 14 gbs left and that is only from the games i own , with out anything from the store.

Not too sure about being able to check your messages on Playstation.com but the messages should still be there when you sign in with your psn a/c.

Solid Snake infiltrates the store in his original PS1 adventure, Metal Gear Solid. Yours for the premium PS1 price of $9.99. Sure you can probably find a cheaper copy in a bargain bin somewhere, but really you're paying for the ability to play this classic on your PSP. Anywhere.

I wanted to get MGS today. Instead, we get 7 trailers, 1 wallpaper and free paintjobs for Motorstorm, plus the usual Rock Band/Guitar Hero DLC.

You know how I was bitching about the slow download of my Burnout paradise patch the other day? Well after almost 48 hours of attempting to download a 380MB file an error occured and my system froze up. The file was lost so I have to do it again mad.gif I didn't write down the error code because I was too busy cursing Sony to remember.

 

However before I had two folders for downloaded games, a Playstation 3 folder and a Playstation1 folder, or something. Now all the games are in one folder labelled "unknown" and I can't change it or anything, what a f*ckup. Anyone know how I could fix this?

I have a 60GB and struggle to find space for most games i own these days, like Bioshock, MGS4 etc. Plus the ammount of downloadable titles i download and then realize i have little to no space left on my HDD for anything else, an upgrade to my HDD would be brilliant, but i'd most likely get a 250GB instead of 500GB, unless there was a cheap one i could find.

Same here, at one point I was down to about 400MB. I've deleted home and a couple of games' data, but I definitely want to expand to at least 250GB. The only thing holding me back is I'm not sure if it will transfer the movies I've downloaded from the store.

Doesn't it save it to your PSN account like DLC? I'm not too sure.

 

 

So I emailed Amazon, and they are sending me a new HDD. And I have to send the other one back. Bit annoying as I wiped off all the game data from my PS3 so I could do a system backup.

 

And yes 500gb may be a bit too much, but it gives me the comfort of knowing I have plenty of space if I need it. All the Fallout 3 DLC will be about 2-3gb all together I think, LBP DLC which there is a plethora of, etc. Also Game Data is getting big these days.

Any one know if the Solid State Drives work/are any faster?

 

Was looking at getting one, but they are still a bit much right now.

SSD's are far better than than normal HDD's, they have a few issues like costs, read/write lifetime size though. If you have the cash then you'll probably see some speed increases for your games loading times though. Installs should be a good deal quicker too.
