So I made a UK PSN account. I now found out where the COD 4 map pack is. But I need money. Can I use my normal credit card to put it in the wallet. Or must I get prepaid cards?

These cards are interesting, but they should get some different sizes as I think they do with the xbox cards at microsoft.

Yeah Single Player is great. I've started again now I've finished so I can earn some of the trophies I missed the first time round.

It's cool and all but they made it way too big they could of took into consideration that most forum's have sig limits.

Has anyone ever done a Fan Test for there PS3? I just did one, without meaning to (and i didnt no you could do it) & i thought my PS3 was about to explode. So i went on youtube & checked out some videos & realised it was just a fan test. You do it by turning your PS3 on & holding the eject button.

Yeah I'm not keen on it to be quite honest, sounds maybe like a hardware glitch sony forgot to iron out, and somehow makes your PS3 spout dust.

Lucky then I've found a few things you don't do on PS3 now, for instance if your game freezes don't turn it off at the back use the front standby button, I had to send mine back to sony because of that.

Yeah, i don't think i have turned it off at the back without pressing the front on/off button first. It's not right just shutting it off completely like that.

It's a test for when you send your PS3 in for repair they check if the fans are running optimally by doing that test.

You know your PS3 fan? that cools your ps3 down, it's just a test to see if its working properly, i suppose the louder it is the healthier your fan is. Although it threw a hell of alot of dust out the back of mine, it could be just to clean your ps3 from dust, i don't know.

Suspected pedophile targets Texas girl using PS3 and camera

 

Texas ABC affiliate ABC-13 is reporting that a 24-year-old Kentucky man, named Anthony Scott O'Shea, was using his PlayStation 3 to request nude self-pictures from an 11-year-old Texas girl. According to police, Mr. O'Shea did not own a computer and was solely employing his PS3 and the PlayStation Network to speak with the girl. When she refused to take them, he supposedly threatened to remove her from his friends list, saying, "Friends do things for each other. You're on my friends list. If you don't, I'm gonna remove you."

 

Using a camera attached to her PS3, the Texas girl then sent Mr. O'Shea the pictures which, according to police, Mr. O'Shea distributed through email "across the country." Parents of the 11-year-old girl notified authorities immediately when they found out about the actions, but apparently their daughter remained steadfast in her opinion of Mr. O'Shea, asking police, "Why is my friend going to jail?" Mr. O'Shea is being charged with:

 

    * Sexual performance of a child

 

    * Online solicitation of a minor

 

    * Promotion of child pornography

 

Those sound like three pretty good reasons right there. According to GamePolitics, Sony provided technical assistance to the Texas police in helping to track down O'Shea.

I've finally decided to buy a PS3.

 

But I thought it would be best to ask the lot of you which console I should buy, I mainly only want it for the online.

 

So, if you can give me some good online games and such, along with accesories (prices in American currency) that'd be wonderful!

Who here has upgraded there HDD? Has anyone had any problems with their new HDD (especially 7200rpm one, I've heard they run a little hotter)? And has anyone had any trouble brining backed-up files back?

 

I have an 80 GB (actually 74) PS3 and after installing 6GB of music and still not having any demos I'm down to 38GB.
