Sony responds to 'PlayStation Palm' diagnosis

 

I thought, "What the f*ck." And laughed.

 

Considering I played the living hell, living f*ck, out of my PS2 back in the day.

Saw that today on Yahoo!, apparently Wii users have the same problem but they call it Wiititis or something along those lines. But being a Playstation 2 gamer for over six years, I haven't had any problems with my palm at all. However, I'd get warts after long gaming sessions, but it'd go away after like a day or two.

What? I have never had any problems whatsoever and ive played my PS1, PS2, PS3 to death and ive always been fine.

I remember playing Super Stardust from the PlayStation Store, and anyone who has played it is aware of the Gold Melter and how you must constantly twist and turn the right analog stick in circles in order to succeed in the game.

 

Well, my thumb use to hurt a little at times, while it was in motion and afterward.

My bad. I had the PS1 and then gradually moved onto the PSX. I always figured PSX was just short for PlayStation.

Everyone seems to call the PS1 the PSX, cause they dont seem to have heard of the actual PSX lol. Don't think it was released in anywhere except Japan though.

i just got a Linkysys Broadband router today and it's not hookin up right

 

we connecting everything right but it's keep saying Error 233

 

The router was activated and the internet light was on

 

idk what it is-- maybe it's the router

Killzone 2 looks to be the third fastest selling PS3 title to date

 

VGChartz has today released preliminary data which suggests that Killzone 2 has already passed the 750,000 sales mark since launch. This would put the game third behind Grant Theft Auto 4 and Metal Gear Solid 4 in the list of fastest sellers on the PS3.

 

Early reports from retailers also suggest that there was "only a modest" increase in sales of PS3 hardware from the release of Killzone 2 but this was to be expected since Killzone 2 is selling primarily to existing PS3 owners and the true effect on hardware sales will only been seen over the next few weeks.

ontopic:that just means that sites like ps3trophies.org can track your trophies without you having to add them which is good cause it gets annoying.

Well I recently got the "Liberty City Minute" trophy for GTA IV which was to beat the story in less then 30 hours. I managed to beat it in 12 hours 40 minutes. But one of the trophies in GTA IV seems impossible to me. And that's the "Wanted" trophy. You need to have the highest possible rank in MP and it just seems impossible at times because whenever I play BDBII, there is always assholes there to ruin the game completely. Like, destroying the truck. And playing games like DM or Race to earn money to advance to a new rank, will take you ages.

You need to get a good couple of guys you can trust to play BDB with you, hell, I'll play BDBII with you when my ISP is back online.

Play the online mode where you protect Kenny Petrovic and you should level up after a few plays, I played with another decent player and we owned 2 out of 3 times. I never knew it payed so well when you finish it with Petrovic getting away safely.

Am I the only one who finds the PS3's web browser horrible to use? Sure I don't expect to use the PS3 as soley a web browser but when my PC is down its the only option. It just feels clumsy to use, the text is usually hard to read and the layout just doesn't make use of my screen's size. I am using a 22" screen so is it possible its more designed for big TV's?

I have a pretty big plasma TV and the image is still average, I practically never use the browser.

 

You could always go nerd styles and install Linux or some other small OS to use a custom browser, though I guess it's more trouble than it's worth. 22" is a pretty small gaming screen anyway imo.

I'm on a 32" TV and I'm also inclined to think it was designed for a bigger TV

 

it's a managable browser if you use a keyboard, but sorta redundant that it still has to open a 'subscreen' and type into it

I managed to complete it in 9hr, it's not that hard since all you have to do is skip all the cutscenes and just do the missions.

I agree that the "Wanted" trophy is too long, it took me quite a long time to get to level 6.

I don't understand why so many launch PS3's suffer the YLOD when placed in a tiny area so it overheats.

 

Mine has been in this tiny case for ages (from launch) and it isn't getting the YLOD.
