Thats why I get the feeling that by mid 2010 microsoft is gonna have to make a new console because developers will start making more games on the PS3 since they understand it better and can do more with it than the 360, and if any game goes multiplatform you'll see that the game will look better on the PS3. You'll start noticing a graphics difference between the two console more after a while. It's happening right now lol, You cant get a game that looks like Killzone 2 on a 360, it'll blow the f*ck up lol. And by what I've seen with GOW 3, and GT 5!

it will work just like that and it takes like 3 or 4 minutes to do too. make sure to buy a 2.5' SATA HDD 5400RPM(standard laptop drive)just be sure to copy all your saves on a usb.

It doesn't have to be a SATA. I bought a 320gb Western Digital 7200rpm HDD. It works just fine. I think it has to have the SATA approved sticker on it if you buy a Seagate model.

if you want it to go inside the ps3, then yes you do want it to be SATA 2.5in otherwise any regular HDD will work.

Kinda lost me with the if you want it to go into the PS3. Do you mean SATAs will only fit? My Western Digital is a 2.5in and its in my PS3 right now. I've it in there since I think last July and it works perfectly. Maybe I'm just reading your response wrong.

If you have a disk stuck inside your PS3 and it has died, to get it out you turn on the power from the back, hold your finger on the eject button and switch it back on from the back, after a few seconds of holding eject your disk slips out like a dream.

Oh don't get me wrong, the Xbox is still an excellent system to work on. While it might not be up to PS3 standards (Not far off mind you) the familiar layout and ease of programming will mean heaps of quality titles will come out to match Killzone 2, GT5 and other ball stompingly good PS3 games.

Oh don't get me wrong, the Xbox is still an excellent system to work on. While it might not be up to PS3 standards (Not far off mind you) the familiar layout and ease of programming will mean heaps of quality titles will come out to match Killzone 2, GT5 and other ball stompingly good PS3 games.

2010 seems a bit early for XBOX. Id think if tehy want to make a really good quality console to go higher than the PS3 standards it have to take at least another couple of years to 2012 or somthing.

 

Then again i dont really have a clue just my opinion.

The 2.5" drive you have in your PS3 right now is a SATA since only SATA drives will fit inside the PS3.

 

GTA1: Since the hard drive is easy to change, look for models that have the features you might want such as: backwards compatibility, card readers etc. If money's an issue I'd suggest just getting the 40GB model and upgrading the HDD when you have some extra cash.

Not necessarily. They were airing that PS3 network with the flashy graphics and neat editing a while. It aired for a long time. Depends on your region I suppose.

 

The whole PS3 vs 360 intrigues me because I've been thinking, how many games are toned down to fit on the DVD as oppose to how much content they could fit on Blue Ray. Will games eventually have so much content that Blue Ray would be the standard. I think that's what will make or break the 360.

The only add from sony I saw here was a PS3 bundle and GTAIV for 300€

and a LBP advert.

I have never seen a advert for the PS3, obviously ive seen adverts advertising games for the console but i havent seen on just for the PS3 system. Wereas i see the 360 advertised quite alot especially aroun when IV and Lost and Damned came out.

I've never seen any ad's for PS3 or any game aside from WoW before here in Australia. Not on mainstream TV anyway. The last ad I saw was for PS2 and it was pretty cool.

I doubt Gran Turismo 5 will make it in 09, as much as I'd love it as I am getting sick of GT5 Prologue's limited and boring tracks.

I remember reading up on GT5 and it's gonna be late '09

I've yet to be disappointed with any gran turismo game, so I'm just hoping it's gonna be worth the wait.

yeah i would love to just "get over it" but i am sick of him and all the other people on smackdown! vs. Raw 2009 that cheat by using glitches or freezing you it makes the game not fun and makes you feel as tho u wasted 60 dollars he needs to be reported and that is all i want to do his name is Marlos22__

Analyst: PS3 price cut could happen very soon

 

According to Janco analyst Mike Hickey, Sony could be set to announce a new, lower price point for the PS3 in the next few days. He says Sony needs to slash $100 off the price of the console to "effectively restart unit velocity at retail." He sees this cut taking effect in "April or by June at the latest." Without the cut, he predicts PS3 sales will continue to steadily decline.

 

There's also speculation regarding a potential Blu-ray-less PS3, which would "enable them to make the aforementioned hardware price reduction," though that sounds kind of ridiculous. Without all of that Blu-ray goodness, how are you supposed to play any software on the thing? It's not like people will go running out to buy a cheaper PS3 that will only play PS2, PSOne and PSN games, after all.

The hawx demo is out tomorrow on psn, It looks interesting and is different from all the usual games we see. It's one of the games I might get this year.

The demo is pretty fun, not much to do in it, but fun, especially with friends.I'd like to see how the implement the Sixaxis features.
