I got a call from Gamestop a little bit ago, I should be able to get Uncharted tomorrow!

shiit man do you buy every game? how much time do you really have? lol i only have 13 PS3 games and i dont have time to play them all or beat them all...

I just have two more PS3 games than you, lol. Well, counting Uncharted, that would be three more games as compared to you. I have a lot of games I haven't finished actually (including ones from the PS2), I play them when I can, it takes me a while to finish them though. I still haven't finished Lair, Folklore or GRAW 2 (now that I think about it I maybe shouldn't have bought it but ah well...GRAW that is.) I spend a lot of time at night playing, I sometimes stay up till 3am, lol, which is definitely going to change because its getting hard to get up for classes.

 

Gaming is like my hobby and I always buy the games that I really like and Uncharted happens to be one of them. =D I had to get Assassins Creed because its made by the same team as the Prince of Persia series and so far its good!

Does the amount of games owned include downloaded PS3 games? if so i have 16, otherwise i just have 5 (or 6 if you would include warhawk though its downloaded).

 

I still havn't completed Motorstorm or Resistance yet, every now and then i play

a little bit more, i should have completed them both by about this time next year lol.

 

Whats GRAW2 like, i have the demo but cant decide whether i want to buy or not (in the future, i'm in no hurry to get it atm), best bet would be to rent it then decide.

 

Soon i'l be able to buy another game but cant decide between Assassins Creed and Uncharted, i will eventualy get them both, but not sure which one to get, which do you prefer?

I haven't finished Motorstorm either, lol. I should have I know but I have finished Resistance with a friend. Graw 2 isn't bad, its actually pretty good. I ended up getting it because I enjoyed the demo but honestly I haven't touched it in like months now after getting Warhawk, Ratchet, Assassins and now Uncharted. I have finished Ratchet though. I am working on finishing Assassins Creed and Uncharted now.

 

I am really enjoying Uncharted right now....you actually feel like you are exploring the world in it, its a great feeling. I love the game so far. I would also recommend Assassins Creed....but since you can only get one......I guess you might wanna go with Assassins Creed (depending on when you can get the next game) because it might keep you busy longer (depends on how you play) otherwise go with Uncharted.....to be honest, its kinda hard for me to recommend one of them, both are great. You will enjoy them both......so I think it would be safe to go with either of them right now.

ok how do you guys use a theme that someone else created? i downloaded them from psu.com and put them onto my flash drive and the ps3 doesnt seem to recognize them from my flash drive...should i just download them from the net on my ps3? because i downloaded them from my pc if that wasnt clear.

@sainraja: thanks for the info , i think i may get Assassins Creed then, Uncharted isnt out until early December so i got a few weeks till i have a choice, i think i'l get AC in a couple weeks and then Uncharted and NFS:PS sometime before xmas, maybe after. I got a new job starting next week so will have plenty of money in no time and be able to get all the games i want .

 

I've started playing Warhawk alot lately, just been promoted to Airman 1st class, still got quite a way to go to catch up with you lol.

It goes like this:

 

PS3 [folder] > Theme [folder] > theme.p3t

 

You need to basically make a folder called PS3 on your flash drive and create a THEME folder in there and place the theme file there.

40GB is good enough. As for the demos, yes you can download them free. I would recommend getting (depending on whats available there) Assassins Creed, Uncharted, Resistance, Ratchet, Motorstorm or Warhawk - I own all these games and I have enjoyed them a lot so I definitely recommend them. Its hard for me to pick one from the group but.....if you want multiplayer go with Warhawk.

 

AndySerb - Bladestorm is kinda like Dynasty Warriors I guess. There is a demo on PSN available if you wanna try it yourself. I thought it was okay but my friend loved it.

yes the games look good in SD. since he recommended alot of the good 1st party games i will mention Heavenly Sword or 3rd parties like R6:Vegas, The Darkness, COD4.

Sorry for the double post, but I just finished Uncharted - Let me just say.....what an awesome experience it was. I am about to go through it again. I definitely recommend this game to anyone else who is a fan of action/adventure games and if you're not....this game might be a good one to start with.

1. Headset does not come with the PS3 but you can use any bluetooth headset. If you have one for your phone, you can use that.

2. 80GB does not come with the headset either.

3. Pressing the PS button allows you to go back to the XMB menu, change video settings (if playing a PS1/PS2) game, switch controllers etc.

4. Yes, you can turn the PS3 on by pressing it. You can also turn it off by pressing it and holding it.

 

Some other things you might want to know. The controllers have an internal (rechargeable) battery. The first time, you sync it to the system by plugging it in to the USB cable provided. After that, you can turn the PS3 on using it.

 

PS3 has some new features now that it didn't before when it first came out. You can now make your own THEME or download one off of the internet. I think its a pretty cool feature. You can also have custom backgrounds. If you are going with the 40GB unit you can still transfer data off of it using a FLASH drive etc. The HDD is upradeable.

 

If you are going to go with the 60GB/80GB unit, you won't need your PS2 memory card but if you have saves on it that you want to transfer you will want to get the memory card adapter which is $15 dollars. The PS3 makes virtual memory cards for PS1/2 games.
