Downloading from the PSN store sounds like a better way to do it. It wouldn't be efficient on Sony's side to send the download to everyone's inbox.

I just read about about the next firmware update and here's some of the new things to expect: Friend status: offline people will have info under avatars showing when they were last on.

:Power savings: you can now set to have ps3 turn off after periods of inactivity and to turn off when something has been dowloaded.

: In game screenshots: This is the best thing about this update, it's for taking screenshots of your games you're playing but it won't work on all games.

And there's a few more things aswell and it should come soon.

It may not be for everyone, but I think its rad-ass, making new friends everyday!

could be they're running a media server and you've somehow connected to theirs

I don't know how an update can give you access to their PC media, unless they just happen to turn on their wi-fi signal, or are you using their wifi?

The screencapture thing will work when the devs put it into their games like tropies so for now it won't work on anything.

I was in the Beta for it and it's very good, it's not out in the UK yet, and i found out that the Beta servers are still up as i played it yesterday, it can keep you hooked for quite a few hours, and the Beta only has one map.

I dl it at night because i only dl at something like 7.5Kbps and i don't wanna sit here without a comp when dl'ing it at day.

i already ranted bout filesize of update and they told me to check router settings or something...

 

anyone got any ideas?

Sup guys, I finished downloading the update last night. Pretty nice. The account settings have improved a lot greatly. It's much more faster and easier to use. Setting your PS3 or controller to shut off after a certain amount time of no activity is a pretty nice feature as well.

Hmm, depends if you're downloading via PS3 or laptop/PC.

 

I suggest downloading it by PC and installing through a USB stick, downloads very quick with FireFox's DownThemAll add on too.

 

If not, I'm clueless

I remember in MotorStorm 1 it would be extremely difficult to handle some of the trucks and cars. Especially bikes. Graphics have improved. Environment looks MUCH BETTER. I know there is more vehicles and tracks.

 

I just wish the series had a story.

Speaking of borrowing peoples games, I have a friends copy of Skate and have put about 3 hours of time into it so far. If I get my own copy will it register the save file from a different disc?
