Because all the disgruntled kids on here are freaking experts?

 

"OMG, the game is dying."

"OMG, game development is so easy, why doesn't Rockstar add EVERYTHING I WANT in a single update?!"

"OMG, something something, cash cards, something something."

 

One would have to take notice of recurring lags/disconnects (especially in the days following updates) to realize there's sh*t ton of server load, indicating massive number of requests (i.e. people connecting/playing). LOL indeed.

Not really sure what your point is here in respect to my comment, but there we go.

 

I very rarely see much lag, a little recently (hello, closed beta for PS4) but very little generally.

 

The cynicism in this thread is really, really disheartening.

It was sarcasm. They say heists will be part of the first DLC after next week's release. I hope they're right this time and that we don't have to wait too long. To me, that sounds pretty imminent.

Some of those are amazing!!! Some I wonder...are they saying almost 34 million bought the game...or are they saying, 34 million play online? Cause I know as of August of this year it said they'd sold 34 million units. Is it even possible that 34 million people would play online consistently? Cause that would be an amazing statistic.

 

They'll mean 34 million people have played online. There'll be nothing like that all at once though. I'd be more interested in that stat, knowing the most people they've had online at any one time.

This would be a good stat...and also a stat on how many consistent players...I know my friend stopped playing cause he kept losing progress and items and support wouldn't help him. So he would be part of the 34 million, but he hasn't played online in months now.

Exactly, and there will be plenty more that just gave up last October as well. Maybe if they told us how many people have played over a certain number of hours. That would identify the number of "hardcore" players.

I know them feels. I've just finished a long day and am very tired. Home to play GTA it is then! :D

what interests me is convert them numbers into GTA$ spent and then convert that to real dosh. Say even 1% used cash cards to make them in game purchases and I say R* is onto a winner. Rolling in it even.

Anyone else find it odd that Cargobob is one of the top five helicopters owned when they haven't allowed us to ever own it legit, and blocked the glitch out like 9 months ago?

 

Lol, I wonder if my cargobob is gonna transfer to next gen.

You're wrong about that, since most Adders weren't bought lol.

 

It would be nice if they would show stats of how many adders were bought and how many were sold. The average of owned adders would be something like minus 8 per player. :)

OT: This is out of the blue, but it's something worth checking out. These stats can't be true 100%, but it makes you think. That's all I can say.

Mmmm... 224 countries?? On what planet?

 

They're going off country codes, as per the list of countries when you register your account. If you look at the ISO list of country codes there are nearly 250 unique codes. It just semantics. It's most of the world is what it means.

Now I understand why servers of Rockstar are often overloaded! Millions of players from 224 countries out of 235 who play GTA Online! Imagine what servers must endure.

Haha that's just anyone that has logged onto online in the past year, there's never anywhere close to that amount playing at one time lol
