NEXT Update AFTER NG release Will Include Heists [CONFIRMED]

So R* have been lying. They said that the heists were underway, but was talking a bit longer to make. We know now that it was more because they were waiting for next gen.

So.. we have to stay on PS3 to do the heists so we get to spend the money twice after transfer . Many wont be able to resist, I guess that's the plan.

Finally they have something more then "soon", "next time", "this season", "next season", etc.

Maybe we will actually get them with pretty soon after the release of the Enhanced Version...

A year ago people were crying their little hearts out over GTA O. now the same people are getting over-excited and hyping themselves up for the next-gen release of a game they've already played (albeit with a couple added extras like foliage and mountain lions). Much popcorn will be consumed, much lulz will be had.

And GTAO is definitely not "Freemium." Rockstar hasn't asked for a single dime outside the base game.

 

Only point I don't agree with you on. Firstly it's awesome you watch South Park...unless Freemium is a term you learned from else where. But I'll tell you why I think it is Freemium. They've provided very basic missions, which let's be honest, only about five are fun to play. All the other fun, for me anyway, comes from content you have to purchase with in game cash. So in this sense, the basic game is just about enjoyable to play but not enough for you to feel as if you don't need the other stuff. Other Stuff being cars, helis, planes etc. Now you can grind and get the money to pay for them in a month, or buy a shark card and instantly purchase items which make the game more enjoyable in a minute. In this way, I do believe they are leaning towards freemium a lot more than they were in previous games. Everyone is doing it now, and there are other companies which are much worse but it doesn't make it ok.

 

I tell you, if I hadn't glitched millions or bought ALOT of stuff in the Billionaire days, I would of put the game away a long time ago. Just because I'm not willing to pay for micro transactions. And just like in the SP episode, only a small proportion of the community actually pay anyway xD

 

 

I haven't seen the South Park episode yet, but I think the key phrase is "in-game cash." When you spend money in GTO, it's money you earned in the game, by playing the game. If Rockstar required you to pay REAL cash for new vehicles, or to access new areas and missions, then it would qualify as a "Fremium" game. Yes, you can purchase sharkcards to get more in-game cash for in-game items, but that's only if you're too lazy to actually play the game.

 

As long as a person can play the full game and max out his levels without spending an extra dime in real cash, it's not Freemium. You're right, though. they could very easily move towards a Freemium system in the future - I actually expected them to do it months ago.
