radd_bro Posted November 13, 2014 Share Posted November 13, 2014 (edited) I had wanted to go into PC gaming for awhile but since I lacked the knowledge on how to build a PC I bought an Alienware x51.With next gen gaming right around the corner I want to upgrade my PC so I can start playing some next gen titles at decent settings. Here are my specs!Processor: Intel® Core i3-4150 CPU @ 3.50GHzVideo Card 1: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 745Video Card 2: Intel® HD Graphics 4400Memory: 6.1 GBOperating System: Microsoft Windows 8 (build 9200), 64-bitWhat should I start upgrading first? I'm not looking to sink hundreds of dollars to make a computer with the power of a 8th gen console but something that wont have me needing to run a next gen title like GTA V, AC Unity, or Advanced Warfare on low settings. After that, definitely upgrade the GPU - since it's an Alienware PC, you most likely paid too much for a low end PC with a terrible GPU. Your RAM is fine. You could have build a much cheaper and much more powerfull PC with really good hardware. An i3? A GTX745?? Seriously?? The first problem when upgrading the GPU is your PSU.
