God, these 144p "Live from PlayStation" streams make the game look TERRIBLE.

 

Now I know why R* was banning them.

 

When we were all watching that hitbox stream everyone was impressed because you could actually see what the game looks like and it was only a sub-720p stream.

 

Wait until Tuesday to judge the visuals, people

GTAV sucks, we need to get that in our head. I thought the new release would change my opinion about GTAV but no, after seeing some streams all I can say is it's f*cking bs. Why on earth can't R* make a f*cking GTA San Andreas again, why not??? Why do they cut so much content, so much playable stuff, I want to play not walk around in the most idiotic city layout ever done in videogames. I simply hate the city Los Santos, I loved it in GTA San Andreas but in V the layout of the city is so stupidly done, I can't get that in my head how they messed with the city, it's big ass highways all over the city, if at least cars and peds would fill the streets I'd be convinced maybe ... but now that the streets are full of NOTHING except your car and maybe 5 peds it's f*cking annoying and sh*t. Give me another GTA San Andreas and I'm fine, I don't need a f*cking stupid highway ass city as it's done with Los Santos in V, I need more cities and I need the cities to be packed with stuff going on. Hm, let's go to a Cluckin' Bell ... wait oh I'm playing f*cking V, you can't go inside anything here, back to GTA San Andreas then where EVERYTHING was possible and ran smooth as f*ck at the same time. Now GTAV has almost nothing which you can do and runs sh*tty as f*ck, I'm stuck to 20fps on PS3 and it just gets on my nerves. I stopped playing a week after I got the game last year and never touched it since then, I simply can't do this no more. Instead I played GTA San Andreas daily and still I am amazed by how amazing this GTA was. I just say it now, no GTA will ever be better than GTA San Andreas is, I thought IV would be better (I was wrong), I almost sweared that V beats GTA San Andreas (oh I was sooooooo wrong, it's one of the worst GTA's yet) R* still somehow managed to get me hyped for this re-release but I just realized that I hate this game from the deep heart because mainly of the lack of content, the lack of interiors and the most stupid map layout ever done by R*. Thumbs up who agrees with me. oh and R*, get rid of that half assed first person sh*t again, if you die it changes to original death screen. OMG so much first person, cutscenes not in first person. OMG that's amazing, it manages to get you out of the first person feel everytime you do sth that's not redone for first person, nice R*, pretty nice, PS4 and XBONE can't handle animals in GTA Online. No you don't say R*???????? f*ck off already with your stupid V sh*t downgraded crap. You made biggest fail ever, showing this trailer November 2, 2011. FAIL, you never delivered on that superb product, f*ck it!

Well that disappointment you're feeling is of your own doing and there is no one you can blame but yourself. From the outset we knew it was going to a REMASTER not GTAV 5.2. Look I'm not even going to bother addressing all your other arguments because they're BS. San Andreas was made 11 years ago. It was on old technology. The shift between PS2, PS3 and even PS4 is huge. GTA V is a great game for what it is, you simply just can't compare it to San Andreas or any other GTA for that matter. It is a great achievement and feat for what it is. You can bitch about the lack of interiors all you want (Trust me, i have) you can also bitch about the game all you want (I have) but you can't say GTA V is a bad game. As I said in the opening, from the outset we knew it was a REMASTER, not a brand new game and all that hype that you built up was because of you and your unrealistic expectations. Stop trying to drag this forum down with your negativity. And also, what was with all your BS statements, as if you actually knew unannounced things?

Sleeping Dogs is a poor excuse of an open world game to even start with...why comparing it to such a giant as GTA? Its like comparing oranges to apples! The more series is famous the more demand there is! I guess its a common sense tbh...

I might get attacked now for saying that LOL, but i guess i agree with everything you said! I almost feel every single argument you brought is exactly how i feel about missed opportunities with GTAV! Not lying i too expected GTAV to be some kind of San Andreas of HD era, but then again i realized i'm asking for way too much very soon, so that i wasn't AS much disappointed by the moment of initial release!

the video i was just watching is the best i've seen so far.

 

the gameplay itself ain't great. he sometimes just stands about for minutes doing nothing or checking his phone/map.

 

my mind was blown when he drove up through vinewood boulevard at night. sweet baby...it looks beautiful even through all the compression. everything just looks much clearer and bolder. on ps3 it was blurry and washed out looking. the car density is great up there.

 

i can't wait to see this on my tv in proper hd/framerate.
