Heists better deliver BIG action scenes if no big paydays

I seriously doubt we get noteworthy paydays. And if we do, I wont be surprised if they have 90 day timers before you can collect a big payday again.

But what Im wanting is opportunities for BIG action scenes with crazy stunt work possibilities. A Team crazy sh*t! Id really like a heist that gives us the weapon enabled JB700. I loved that single player mission.

What is an epic heist mission experience that would make heists more fulfilling for you than the current jobs?

a few steps that would involve me being smart and not having to shoot anything.

Maybe something with stealth or tailing targets. Locating specific items or vehicles without hand holding.

Just generally a few steps that make me use my brain instead of my trigger finger. Those steps then eventually lead to me using my trigger finger A LOT.... heheh

It will be worth the wait.

Going to have to second this. They can't release some half assed sh*t after all this time and hype.

I think heists are overhyped, most likely a gimmick, and since day 1 so far been a gimmick by word. It should not have been announced in the 1st place if it'd take this long. NG should have been if anything. I say heists are overhyped because they will not pay since it can't be a gamebreaker, they won't be as big as sp heists, and it most likely a safe crack for a few thousand and run from cops, like when robbing convenient stores. They can only live up to everyone's expectation only if they at the very least start opening interiors in places.

If that were the case, they could have released that type of "mission" already and call it heists.

How about a scene where for the final getaway the villain is hovering next to the Lago Zancudo bridge and you have to ramp off a car carrier semi trailer, and bail out right before your pile drives the chopper in midair, and your body falls to the lake below, where you have to survive the crash and fall to complete the mission. A little homage to Die Hard and a Simon Crown mission from the first Stuntman game.

One where you and your friends have to steal 50 cars in one night while a team of cops has to try to stop you.

One where a city bus is rigged with a bomb and if it goes below 50 it blows up....

One where you have to drive to the top of blaine county in a big rig and grab 400 cases of beer while your buddy keeps the cops away from you in his phoenix.

Ok i'm using action movie plots but still some of these would make great missions or heists.

Reminds me of the film xXx at the beginning with the bridge jump. As Vin Diesel jumps off the bridge, he jumps out of the car and deploys a parachute, completely ditching the car.

I think at this point, they're going to be a disappointment no matter what.

Still looking forward to them though.

If the ramp glitch is fixed, a scene where 2 guys are escaping on motorcycles, and a pilot in an open tail cargo plane flies over your head, then as the bikes are approaching a cliff with cops on their heals, you gotta jump the bikes into the back of a moving cargo plane! The pilot and bikes would have to time it so that the plane was just ahead of the bikes. Or an easier stunt would just have the cargo plane door low enough to skid on the road while in flight and drive the bikes up and in the easier way and fly off and away with two bags of 5k loot lol

They should take destiny's approach to such modes e.g. take the nightfall strike or the Vault of Glass Raid; if you have to prepare and find a team to pull it off successfully once a week; you'd still be able them, but the rewards are on a weekly timer, similar to Destiny's weekly reset. If they incorporated this I think they would be taken a lot more seriously by the community. Of course, they're going to be bland as hell and not live up to the hype because it's rockstar at the end of the day.

Some Spy Hunter action where you have to hijack a semi convoy carrying 3 FIB supercar protypes. You get the semi's and as you think you're getting away more feds come. Then 3 players who had to get inside each of the trailers open the back doors of the trailers in motion Knight Rider/Spy Hunter style and 3 cars armed with guns and missles have to get away, then later you have to jump the cars into the ocean where the cars convert to gunboats and you have a moving water fight, then the three semi drivers have to bring a water landing cargo plane for the boats to drive into to escape!

At this point, I don't give a crap if heists do get released or don't. They're bound to fail to live up to expectations. When they come out and they suck or are mediocre, I can just sigh and say 'Well, glad I didn't get hyped for this', if they turn out to be great, I'll be able to enjoy the content.

I dont care for heists for a money making task, but I will take them to increase the variety. The devs really need to add some of the game modes from GTA IV like Cops and crooks

I think the main problem they're having with heists is what payment we're going to get...

Can't make it to small otherwise people won't play but can't be to big because people won't play missions as much.

But for me I wouldn't mind doing a heist once a week with x amount of money from it.

R* doesn't want its player base wealthy thats y no Stock Market and Heists. Only people who can make off with lots of cash are Politicians

Rockstar have never done something half-assed. If they went back on their own word and have been working on Heists this long, they must be making them quite special.

I thought this too. Rockstar could use a "Raid" type mechanic from MMO's to make Heists that one thing you can do only once a week, but it's worth it.

Hey, Lets just continue with pessimistic speculation.

The timer thing sounds reasonable. Even if the heist pays out 100-200k and can only do it once a day (real time), that would be cool.

If the mission takes 20 mins or so, it would be great. Normally it takes me about a few hrs of casual gameplay to make a couple hundred Gs

I'm sure there will be multiple ones to choose from of varying difficulties and payouts.

It was once thought you had to accumulate enoughof the currently useless job points (jp) before undertaking a heist. If that's the case it would encourage people to do more activities.

Couple hundred grand me thinks, enough to buy one or two decent-ish cars. They will be probably take a long while to complete and/or I agree with above comments that there will be a limit on how many you can do each week/month. Now with the FPS camera the game really does have to compete with the likes of the Payday series, I am excited. I am fairly confident they were already created (or the majority of them) before launch but upon public testing they failed for whatever reason and they had to start from scratch (hell you can even see the mission objective text saying something like "go to the tellers counter" during the bank robbery scene in the GTA Online announcement trailer from way back).

Considering we've had to wait over a year for them, they'd better have both but chances are that we wont get either.

I expect heists to be generic jobs centered around a bank. We're not gonna get anything special from heists. Why should i expect anything different from R* with all the times they've dissapointed me before with these updates?

I agree that they should be packed with action, and will take a fair bit of time to try and complete, much longer than survivals. A big payout would be nice but I think it will cap around £100k each, as a basic split between everyone. I still hope the heist mission launcher is in charge of splitting the cash up. More into long tough missions than getting two million from the job

Agreed that i don't need a HUGE payout but something in the 100k range would be okay. It'd be nice if you can join friends, do a chunk, come back the next day, do the next bit. some real beefy stuff.

Still looking forward to them though.

I feel the same way - I'm looking forward to doing some heist-style jobs with friends, but I fully expect the GTAO community to complain about whatever they get after waiting for so long. Heists are not the answer to all of GTAO's problems, despite what people are saying or thinking.

That said, i'm looking forward to them, particularly if we do similar prep work to the SP heists like sourcing vehicles and picking a crew.
