I kind of hope its new gen only (even though I cant play it yet)

As that way the DLC wont be limited by the old hardware, meaning we get an even better new gen experience when we can all get the chance to play it.

 

 

It sounds selfish but I kind of wish this too.

 

Now there's going to be more work for Rockstar because they have to make one for last-gen, but it can't handle FP mode or all of the new animals, new vegetation and current gen additions (that were time-consuming to implement).

Essentially, they have to make two versions, or make one and then remove lots of things. Or make a last-gen version and then upgrade the other to Remaster's level. Either method likely involves lots of extra work, and I rather Rockstar spend that time other things (like more interiors such as Casino, heists, etc).

 

But they have to make last-gen versions because I can imagine the outrage if they announce SP DLC for current gen only. Last gen owners will feel like they got stabbed in the back.

CVG and IGN got to visit Rockstar offices last week and play the game for two hours. They revealed a lot of detail on their websites. But this SP DLC is new info released today, but they likely heard this last week and were waiting to reveal it.

I actually wouldn't want to see a fresh face in this instance personally. It's not like IV where we just had Niko at first. I'd rather they do a DLC focusing on one of the main three protags, specifically Franklin, as he had the least amount of development and the most potential wasted. His back-story could be really great.

I so agree with this! Would love to play Franklin and his life before the plot in GTA V.

It would also probably add activities, more plot and hopefully we could see some hints to CJ and maybe get to know why the ballas now own Groove Street

The scale of those interiors is another story, but I do see them opening Restaurants and possibly the Plaza, because they have no place in the Storyline and wouldn't affect anything. Plus, Rockstar have been boasting about what they have been able to do with the power of the new consoles, and not including something we didn't have much of last time in interiors seems strange to me.

 

I don't think they will open anything on the scale of the Maze Bank Arena or Casino though. At least not yet, Arena possibly, but I think the Casino will be saved.

they might open the arena because watch dogs opened the knock off wrigley field

To me it's a tie between alternate protagonists and zombies. I'd love to have a female protagonist to play but then again, I'd love a zombie DLC along the levels of Undead Nightmare for RDR, but this time for GTA.

 

I don't really want the same protagonists especially as I only find one of them that interesting (Trevor). Though some one on another forum said it would be interesting to do one with Trevor's childhood (That would be kinda cool). The other two are kinda boring imho. Trevor though... Trevor was made for how most people play GTA. You can be totally crazy and off the wall with him and it feels right for the character.
