Casino facility in GTAO - Would it work?

Im an absolute poker freak, so I would love this..

 

But as its already been said the issue with players fixing games and being able to transfer cash is the issue here...

 

Its one thing a player being able to glitch 48 billion then he can never spend and it only effects his game..its quite another if that player is allowed to give it out to the rest of the playerbase, if this is allowed to happen it wipes out half of gta onlinemand doesnt function as rockstar want...

 

The simple way around this would be that you enter a game without knowing who you are playing against, but then this kills the idea of walking in and playing with others in a open world...

 

Il think about this tonight, there has to be a clever way around this, its badly needed.... for me atleast lol

Yes it would be a way to transfer cash, but I don't see how glitching ties into this. If someone glitches, he can also just tell the other guy how to do it and he'll also end up with the money.

Capped payouts would almost kill that. Say you could only win a maximum amount per hand, and another maximum amount per sitting. Then you could have a cool down so you can only visit the casino maybe once an in-game day. If the maximum payout per session were $100K and then you get booted out of the casino, you'd have to wait 48 minutes before you could go back. It's not perfect, but it's certainly not good enough for a true glitcher. $100K an hour? Pfft. Better off grinding missions and building up other stats at the same time

They had gambling in Red Dead Redemption, so I don't see how they couldn't add it into GTAO.

Things like that are mostly down to bad programming, and nothing to do with the hardware. The hardware has more to do with the visual aspects of the game, and how many things you can have going on at once. It's rarely got anything to do with whether you get a t-shirt in a crate or something like that.

 

Don't expect the new version to be without its glitches. It will have them just the same.

We'll have to wait and see. All I'm saying is that better hardware won't fix the issues that you described.

 

Either way, it may be shonky for a month or so, just like it was when it was first released, but even single player alone would make it a worthwhile purchase.

I always wanted the casino to open, but op brought up a fair question I hadn't thought about.

 

What if players lose connection if they are in an all-in situation with another player? I played online poker for years with real money, I've had this happened on poker sites with stable connections, but gtao isn't as stable as a website.

 

Anyway, I still hope the casino opens, I want them more than heists...

There's a Casino in Playstation Home on PS3 and that worked alright, so it definitely should be possible on PS4.

Example: a friend and me are playing at 1 table. We speak to each other via Skype like we always do when gaming. As soon as one of us gets a good hand the other keeps raising the pot, therefore manipulating his winnings, especially if there's more players involved in the pot.

They could just do it with only games where one bets against the house, i.e. Blackjack, slots. That way no money transfers. Betting limit works too but it kills the fun.

I would LOVE the casino to open in GTAO, only then would I give R* another £50 for a game I already own. But I'd like a mall (or two) to open as well. And Inside Track betting shops. And Cluckin' Bell. And Burgershot.
