I would assume so, they already have it and are playing it. They have been hyping the release the last few days so I expect a detailed review from them.

gamespot will give it a 9/10 and say it's basically the same game but prettier

destructoid will give it an 8.5 and note that there are no real new content additions

polygon will find a way to explain how the xb1 version is better

ign will give it a jesus/10

Lock n' Stock

its okay m8 20/10 - IGN

In seriousness though, reviews should be soon, at least a week before the game's release.

this seems incredibly accurate.

GameSpot might renew their review and probably give it a 10 unlike just updating Carolyn Petite's biased and feministic review...IGN and CVG will just update their great 10s reviews with new verdicts.

Most places will give it a good review. This forum will tear it to shreds and criticize every little aspect of the game.

I remember the sh*tstorm after they gave it a 9/10.

They probably won't make that mistake twice :p I almost had myself fooled

With the release well on the horizon, the reviews for New-Gen Grand Theft Auto: V should certainly be contingent shortly thereafter or just days prior to it, with IGN most probably electing to opine on November 17th, just as was true for Last-Gen Grand Theft Auto: V. :)

I look forward to this more than I really should. It would feel so great to see Gamespot give the game a proper GAME review without f*cking social justice warrior bullsh*t agendas contaminating the review.

The companies will give out 8's and 10's while the cynical entitled man babies will flock to all corners of the internet, who, after spending at most one hour in the game will have somehow seen all the game has to offer, and say that it's the worst thing since the first murder, and not to buy it, and stay on the old game, with the modders everywhere.

I actually stopped using gamespot since that review.

Occasionally go on it but only once a month max.

I dont even care about rating "scores" or genuine gameplay critique. However...

Any site that pushes some pro modern day man hating feminist agenda on video games deserves all the hate and negativity they got. They knew what they were doing when they put a person with that mindset down to review GTA. Good to see them fall and fail so miserably since then, They earned it.

Here's my review:

"It's a GTA game. If you like GTA, you should try it. If you don't, it's probably not going to be your thing. If you pretend to like GTA but are stuck in the 3D era and can't see why anyone wouldn't want a f*cking boring arsed rehash of San Andreas with updated graphics, you should probably also avoid this. But if you're open minded, looking for a fresh take on the established GTA formula and aren't a complete f*cking knob unit, you will almost certainly enjoy this game at least a bit"

10/10, would f*ck again.

Of course they will. They'll write anything they can about GTA because it's a great traffic driver.

That's not to say a review will be any less pointless. There's not going to be anyone like: whoa, after reading this review I'm now totally convinced! I hadn't heard of GTA before but it sounds pretty cool!!

There may be a few people that haven't played it yet that are still on the fence, and a review from a particular site might really influence their decision.

For example, I've got AS:Unity on pre-order and I'm seriously considering cancelling that as I read a review that labeled it disappointing. I don't want to pay forty quid for a disappointing game, because I can't come on here and whine about it until the day I die.

Okay people that have been in jail for the past couple of years, maybe.

I'd be the first to hate on Ubisoft but just watching some streams of ACU and it looks fine actually. I haven't preordered it because I had my doubts but I'll enjoy it. But I don't have high expectations of the gameplay anyway.

Reviews means nothing! If the game's worthy - then its worthy, reviewed or not! Its personal to decide for everyone! People, who trust reviewers are very naive and lack sense of individual judgement! As for answering your question - YES! i think they will eventually make review of next gen version! Probably even PC version when it comes out...

I disagree. There are certain reviews for certain games by particular reviewers that I won't bother listing here, which I've gone back and read after blindly picking out a game and I've sat back and thought 'wow, wish I'd read this before buying the game, as they've very eloquently described every flaw I found in the game.' This has happened several times with a few games, and it seems that particular reviewers share very similar game tastes to mine, so I firmly believe that reviews can often help someone to not make a poor purchase.

How is one meant to judge a game without buying it? Reviewers provide their perspective on the game, you watch/read it and then decide if you want the game or not. Of course, some review sites are horrendous in their reviews, giving sh*tty games a 10 and good games a 5, it is all objective but at least watching a review and gameplay, you can make some decisions based on such "previews".

There are hundreds of other way more reliable methods to research about the game other then trusting reviewer! Where did you find i said anything about buying the game without any research at all? Did i said that? No! So its just you jumped into bandwagon? As to what exact methods i'm talking about? Well...If you know how to use google and youtube and internet as a whole you would find out without any reviews!...There're hundreds of Wiki pages, that give detailed info about games, countless videos on youtube and so on...You don't need some guy in the studio to tell you whats better for you to decide believe me! Raynos for a God's sake! Please read this message before asking stupid questions!

Lol videos on youtube where the player tells you about the game, plays it for you and describes his feeling towards the control and general playability of the game is basically a "review"

Wow, that's a whole load of words you've put in my mouth there.

I'm saying that reviews can help people, I'm not suggesting people should base their entire purchase future on reviews and put it in the hands of the reviewers. Chill out, bro. I'm just speaking from my personal experience, which, if you remember as far back as the post I was replying to, is an indirect agreement with at least part of your statement there.

You say that reviews mean nothing, but for those that may be regular users of a particular site, they may be incredibly useful.

...ok...and what about Wiki sites? What about this thing called "gathering info from different sources and put it all together in one piece"? You don't have to make a decision from reading some single source! Clever person makes decision, based on researching from various sources, not just one! Like for example, you read that wiki page, then you went on youtube watched the video, then you heard a "rumor" from some random guy, then it rumor confirmed to be either true or a lie! And so on! All i'm saying is that reviewers lure you in making you think you're going to buy quality product! You can't really trust them and the ones, who do - are naive!...

OK, I kind of see the point you're trying to make here, but you have to remember, not all games journalists are paid off to say that the game they're reviewing is better than it really is. I know loads of games journalists (a bunch of my friends set up their own site) who review games very honestly, and have been more than happy to give bad reviews to bad games.

You can't just lay a blanket generalisation here - what might be true about some journos isn't true for all, just as much as what might be true for you is not true for everyone else.
