Say that to the young people working minimum-wage jobs or the ones still going to college...

If you're in college and can't afford a game, all the more reason to do well do you can get a good job and afford all the games you want. Working minimum wage? Find a better job. If you can't, video games should be at the bottom of your priority listWhat country are you from? Just curious.

 

Here in America, being a young job-seeker doesn't bode many opportunities to make good money, where some young adults are lucky enough to work 2-4 jobs just to pay for bills, food and rent, loads of which had to really grind just to get a second job. Sure, its easy to say "get a better job," but most of the open jobs in the area I live in are entry-level, usually paying wages less than $11... Even our "entry-level" jobs require a year or two of experience, which making job hunting very hard for people out of high school and college, current and alumni. The really good-paying jobs, you need loads of experience, be part of an internship/apprenticeship, have connections, or even have a college degree, else the employer won't even consider acknowledge your existence. I've known guys that applied to more than 50 jobs, only to get a call back from maybe 1-5 of the places. Honestly, I feel bad for them.. I work one job, but the money goes to groceries at home.

 

Also, lots of students rely on financial aid and scholarships due to the insane tuition fees, especially for students not originally from the state the school resides. I work and went to school, and I can say it is very stressful, with my leftover money going towards gas and supplies I need for the semester or important things at home. That's life, so I put up with it.

That's exactly my point though. You work and THEN you get to play. If you're not doing the work, then you haven't earned the right to play. I'm from America. I know all about being stuck with a crap job or being out of work for a significant period of time. But if you're not making extra money, then you shouldn't be worrying about buying video games as much as working for a lifestyle where that isn't an issue. All I'm trying to say is having a crappy/no job in no way entitles you to get a discount on anything. Edited November 12, 2014 by Fox2Quick

How ever much money they make from selling the game on xbox one and ps4 - means more to spend on gta 6 or remaking another classic city like vice city

You have been here since 2013. You should know by now that this is how GTAF is. Always has been, always will be.

It is what happens when parents buy kids that should not have a game, a game. Then they want to come online and talk about it.

Trading in my last gen copy of GTAV will be my discount.. Gamestop will probably just give me $4 for it though

Best buy will give you $21 and i think target is giving $30.

@Fox2Quick, I definitely understand your point. Nobody should ever be entitled to a discount, regardless of their status, whether it's a minimum wage worker or even the president.

 

Gaming is a privilidge, same goes for television, internet, and music. The only thing that matters is being smart with the money we earn from these jobs, something various Americans aren't good with. We just take things for granted, like this remaster. I'd pay full price for the current-gen version of this game only because I want to see this game in its full potential, rather than the technologically held-back copies we all have now.
