Popular Post We Are Ninja
***** UNDER CONSTRUCTION *****Sex, Machine Guns and British Motoring: Welcome to the Official Dewbauchee Appreciation ThreadDewbauchee, an obvious play on the word "debauchery" (just look at that logo, LOL), represents GTA V's ode to the British Automotive company Aston Martin. The brand is well-represented in the game with no less than eight different vehicles (if you count the Rapid GT, Rapid GT convertible, Spectre, and Spectre Custom as different vehicles) that run the gamut from abysmal to exquisite. That said, everyone join in. Post pics and impressions of some of your favorite Dewbauchee automobiles. Or all of them. Or ones you've blown up. If you like Dewbauchee's offerings cars, let's talk about them. If not, post why and we'll call you misguided and tell you why you're wrong.-JB700-"Grease up the drive shaft because this hot number has curves in all the right places. A classic luxury grand tourer, the JB700 has been the car of choice for drunken, misogynistic British spies since 1965. Dust off the tuxedo, quip a sexual double-entendre, pour yourself a martini for the road, and stumble out as everyone in the room mutters what a turd you are. For safety reasons, this vehicle's concealed weapons have been decommissioned." Specifications: Price: N/AEngine: N/AHorsepower: N/ATop Speed: N/A0-60: NADrivetrain: Rear wheel driveGears: N/AWeight: N/A Description: The JB700 is Dewbauchee's sole representative in the Sports Classic class. It's a 2-door coupe that appears to based on the 1960's Aston Martin DB4/DB5. JB700 is a play on James Bond 007, and this car looks just like one you'd expect James Bond to drive in a Vinewood Hills film, and it comes complete with two hood-mounted machine guns. Unfortunately, they are non-functioning, and cannot removed or even retracted. The ejector seat doesn't work either. Driving Impressions: Simply put, the car handles about as good (or bad) as you'd expect a car in the Sports Classic class to handle. It's fairly responsive, but it snaps into oversteer with little provocation as the brake bias seems to be concentrated firmly rearward, and the chassis doesn't feel especially rigid. The car does feel lightweight, and acceleration is surprisingly brisk and the top speed feels good. It's a Dewbauchee, so it's awesome, but there are far better cars in the Sports Classic class. Photos -Exemplar-"The British are well known for their superior auto manufacturing prowess. The company has provided cars for courts, Grand Prix, and doughy dignitaries across the UK."Click for More Info: Price: $205,000Engine: 6.0L V6Horsepower: 480Top Speed: 182 mph0-60: NADrivetrain: Rear wheel driveGears: N/AWeight: N/ADescription:The Exemplar appears to be based primarily on Aston Martin's Rapide. In-game, it bears a striking resemblance to the Rapid GT, albeit with two additional doors. It's small, but has a long, sleek profile. It has zero (count 'em... zero)available aesthetic mods outside of wheels and paint. Initially, I thought the car looked like an alien, but it has really, really grown on me.Driving Impressions:The Exemplar is easily the second-best handling car offered by Dewbauchee. It's handling and overall feel is eerily reminiscent of the Felon. As a matter of fact, I'd go so far as to describe as a Felon cranked up to 13. Similar in a lot of aspects, but not as subtle. It "free car slow" like the Felon is. It accelerates faster, it's top speed feels higher, it's handling is more pronounced and it's powerslides, while initiated in the same manner as the Felon's, feel more lurid and kinetic. It's similarly coaxed into predictable, progressive oversteer, although said oversteer comes on harder and faster. Overall, it's an outstanding four-door that sits squarely in the upper echelon of the coupe class.Exterior: Interior: -Rapid GT-"The ultimate blend of luxury, refinement, and breeding, the Rapid GT is a British supercar that's as superior and classicist as it's fellow countrymen, but without the need for self-deprecation."Click for More Info: Price: $132,000Engine: N/AHorsepower: N/ATop Speed: N/A0-60: N/ADrivetrain: Rear wheel driveGears: N/AWeight: N/ADescription:The Rapid GT appears to be based primarily on the Aston Martin Vantage. It's classified as a Sports car. Much like it's real-life counterpart, it comes in two different flavors, convertible and hard top. The only real difference between the two is that you'll get your head blown off a little faster in the convertible. Both cars have minimal available aesthetic mods; primarily the hood and exhaust. A rollcage can be installed in the coupe, and a mild spoiler can be installed on the convertible. Unfortunately, these two are pretty much the lowest common denominator in the Sports class...Driving Impressions:The Rapid GT is fairly quick with surprisingly good acceleration and better than decent top speeds. However, initially, the Rapid GT is one of the worst handling vehicles in the entire game. And even after you figure out the key to driving it fast, it's still not really a canyon carver. The Rapid GT's response to any and every controller input is plowing, unrelenting understeer. It handles like a FWD car with an open differential. This makes it all but useless on a track and during free roam shenanigans.Exterior: Interior: -Rapid GT (Convertible)-"The ultimate blend of luxury, refinement, and breeding, the Rapid GT is a British supercar that's as superior and classicist as it's fellow countrymen, but without the need for self-deprecation."Click for More Info: Price: $140,000Engine: N/AHorsepower: N/ATop Speed: N/A0-60: N/ADrivetrain: Rear wheel driveGears: N/AWeight: N/ADescription:The Rapid GT appears to be based primarily on the Aston Martin Vantage. It's good enough to embarrass Supers in the hands of the right drivers. Based primarily on the Aston Martin Vanquish, the Massacro is a gorgeous grand tourer. It has an outstanding amount of aesthetic mods that, when mixed and matched properly, allow you to turn it into the a GTA-flavored replica of the Vantage GT3 Race car.Driving Impression:First and foremost, the Massacro is a grand tourer. As such, it's got a palpable sense of heft that's surprisingly well-distributed. It's suspension feels extremely taut. It's got absolutely brutal acceleration and a formidable top speed for a car in the Sports class. It's handling is sublime with quasi-realistic weight transfer. It responds best to slow-in/fast-out driving practices and rewards good racing lines. While mild understeer is the order of the day, because of it's strong brakes, good, progressive oversteer can be initiated on command with a solid line and a little trail-braking. What's more, it's phenomenal grip allows you to power out of corners, full throttle, with minimal drama. This is by far the most engaging car in Dewbauchee's lineup, if not the entire game. -Massacro (Racecar Version)-"Sophisticated, superior, class-obsessed and with more than a little aggression under the hood, this grand tourer from Dewbauchee is as classically British as they come. Race tuned special edition."Click for More Info: Price: $385,000Engine: N/AHorsepower: N/ATop Speed: 156 mph0-60: NADrivetrain: Rear wheel driveGears: 6Weight: 3748 lbsDescription:The Massacro is the crown jewel in Dewbauchee's lineup and arguably the best car in the Sports class. And now it comes in a glorious racecar guise.Driving Impression:The racing variant is actually a different machine. It's everything you loved about the regular Massacro, but with substantially less weight and more agility. And, at 3786 lbs, I can't imagine what the street car must weigh. With less weight comes a pronounced nimbleness when compared to the original car, which is good. But the lack of heft (at the rear specifically) means that this version of the Massacro will rotate a lot sooner than the street car will. This means that understeer isn't it's first line of defense, and that you can get more creative with your lines, but you do lose a bit of the street car's unwavering stability. You can enter turns sideways upon command (doing so in the street car takes a more focused effort...) and come out unscathed and in control, but it doesn't feel quite as sure-footed as the original car. That said, the racing Massacro is a phenomenal addition to Dewbauchee's lineup, and it's different enough from the street car to warrant owning both.Exterior: Interior: Edited February 10, 2017 by We Are Ninja ~TKP~, ADropInTheOcean, bobo081093 and 59 others

Accendo
Love the Massacro and Exemplar. I just want to say that the Exemplar is what you'd call a "four-door coupe". Most coupes lack rear passenger doors, leading many to believe that this is where the distinction between sedans and coupes lies. In reality, it has to do with the cubic footage of space available in the cab. Edited November 10, 2014 by Accendo Headdogg81

Accendo
I can't quote two comments on my phone but I didn't know it might have a more specific classification but it may very well. This is if you're going by the definition set out by the Society of Automotive Engineers. It seems as though automotive companies are occasionally calling their cars coupes to make them seem sportier when they're really selling a two-door sedan. This being said, this rule to distinguish between the two is hotly contested by many. Most people argue that the average person would be unable to accurately ascertain whether the cab had 33 cubic feet of space or less. MatthewH
I've owned every DB car in the game but my favourite by far is the massacro. It's fast and the handling is sublime. When I use it in free-roam most supercar driver can't keep up with my let alone catch up. Here's a pic of my Massacro. I've kept it simple with no body mods apart from the rear diffuser. Sir Michael
With that title, I almost mistook this for another British concept thread. Anyway, I could never get into the Rapid GT because of its performance. Good acceleration, but the turning was too stiff. The Massacro, however, hits the spot with its speed, although it also doesn't turn the sharpest. A clean car nonetheless. I always liked the V12 Vanquish, ever since seeing it in those 007 movies in the early 2000's. (: I kept mine basic. I may change the color though, but it gets annoying to see carbon stick out..
