Yeah, I've been taking a break for the last month and a half. I'll have over 10 million with the pre-order bonus (as long as R* considers all of my money "transferable") so I should be set for new gen. I could always use more, but I'm gonna hold off for new gen, plus heists is right around the corner and hopefully they'll actually be a fun way to make a significant amount of money. Soon. Hists so soon now.

An end of an era, man. I turned mine in this past Sunday.

 

So i'm five days away from the disc and thank god its NFL season or this weekend would be the suck without sneaking in some Deathmatches throughout the day.

Well that's my d/l of GTA V pre-ordered on the new PS4..

 

 

Now then.. I'll say something about this "GTA V ON TEH PS4 IS GOING TO BE SHlTE" nonsense..

 

I've played games for decades.. literally.. and I've generally played on every generation 8-bit, 16-bit, etc etc.

 

So last night I finally get to try out the PS4.. I put Watchdogs on.. and well..

 

IF YOU FLAMIN' WELL THINK THAT IT'S JUST GOING TO BE "WINDOW DRESSING" YOU ARE A COMPLETE AND UTTER FECKING MUPPET!

 

I mean, Watchdogs wasn't overly rated as a game, yet blow me.. the difference between that and GTA V on the PS3 is bit like when cinema started having sound.. the scale of it.. the graphics.. hell.. if Rockstar can't make something awesome with GTA V on this system then they're hiring monkeys as programmers.

 

So in short, last gen peasants bitchin' about being robbed because the next-gen 1337 are going to be having a better party than you - man up or shut up.

I've only played Killzone on my PS4 but within the first few seconds of gameplay it was clear that it wasn't just better. It was a metric fuck-ton better. This could be put under the heading of "advanced foliage system", if I were an immature prick with envy seething from every pore, but the thing that struck me immediately was how alive everything seemed. Branches on trees were individual objects and they all moved individually in the breeze. The grass all moved separately and the environment just seemed more real. Things like that make a massive difference to the whole experience, and I can't wait to see how much this game is improved.

 

I also went from an 8 year old 32" TV to a brand new 50" TV as well. That may have helped

Well guys most of us in here either have current gen consoles infront of us now or have our orders in awaiting delivery, and while the excitement is unbearable awaiting the release of gta v on current gen I believe a few words should be said for our trusty last gen consoles the xbox 360 and PS3..

 

For ni~on 9 years these boxes have provided us with more fun you can shake a stick at, we have abused them, our kids have abused them, we've spilt more beverage's over them than should be electronicly possible to function, our children have fed them coins, toast and anything else that will physically fit into their disk trays.. and they have kept on chugging along..

 

They have made us laugh.. made us cry.. made us rage, all while being such an important part of our everyday lives, there controllers have become an extension of our very own bodies, sharing with us and absorbing the excitement..... the horror..... the fear..... and the outrageous fun these systems have given us over the years....

 

Just when we thought these systems where dead, to old... past there sell by date, they blow our minds one last time by making possible games like gta v TLOU, these systems have run software that they should never be able to run and they have smiled while doing so..

 

Like a trusty comrade in heat of battle, these systems never asked questions, they turned on day after day without hesitation, they did what we asked time after time and never faltered..

 

These 9 year old systems shall be remembered by the younger generation, the school kids, the college students, but also the older generations, the moms and dads, the adults going out to work everyday day in day out, what ever the generation, these solid ... robust systems shall forever be remembered, they shall live on eternally in our memories for there unquestionable service, and most important of all the fun these systems have given us all time and time again..

 

We have argued between us which is better, but the truth is they have given us all the above in equal measure for 9 years, and one thing is for sure, these incredible systems defined a time in gaming history!..

 

So while we all await the 1080P goodness of our next gen gaming future, lets all take a few minutes and raise a bottle off ice cold pisswasser, to the two systems that defined a gaming generation, to the systems that unquestionably answered our calls day after day for our dose of R&R, no matter what abuse we put them through...

Well ive had current gen for just over a month now and haven't turned on the 360 since I got it.... untill 2 nights ago...

 

When gta v was released I was blown away by the way it looked, but while awaiting the current gen release I thought I better fire up the old girl and earn somemcash for release... 360 looks damn awful now, I never noticed how jumpy gta is on 360, the shadows are terrible, I was totally shocked.... funny how quickly you used to things...

 

But current gen is so smooth and detailed in comparison, million miles from last gen.. im glad I did it this way now, because gta v on current gen is going to be to die for...

I think you're only guaranteed the 14 day trial unless your PS4 came with something special...I've seen different deals with free one month, 3 month and year-long subscriptions.

 

Personally, I'm setting up the 14 day trial on Monday, just to be ready, then I'm hoping for a deal on year-long subscriptions on Black Friday. If not, I get the regular membership that weekend, and I'm golden.

All the other games I've looked at on PS+ look like indie games. Not that that's a bad thing, but we're obviously not talking Battefield or COD here. There's a lot of them though, so I'm sure you'd find something there that you like, and it's free!

PS+ seems a bit pants right now..

 

Though the problem may be that with the PS3 that it gave away good old games... bit hard when the console's just over a year old..

 

On the flip side.. I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of odd/Japanese RPG games there are available digitally.. May well be getting some of them next time my readies are plentiful..

 

however.. still fückin' impressed by the PS4 so far...

man seeing everyone ordering their ps4s/ xbox1's makes me so happy for some reason lol... I still remember when I got my ps4 a couple months ago and I immediately noticed the HUGE difference between it and the ps3. With that said, GTA V will be sooooo much more better on new-gen I cant believe people are saying it wont smh
