Who else set their PS4 to full 1080p and full RGB settings? It's beautiful.

Rgb setting?

check your video settings. This feature was also available on ps3 and made colors pop a little more than the default setting

mmm chocolate

Everything looks way better .. And the environments are 10x better.

I notice the cars being a bit slower, and it takes longer to host missions by yourself in an invite only lobby. But i assume that will get better.

Kinda lame the railgun isnt online.

Haven't played online yet at all. Not sure if I should keep waiting or what.

I keep hearing of:

- Transferring problems still

- Apparently an aging bug that has affected some characters

We'll see...

How do I take the pic of my character after I'm done making changes. Seen it here somewhere but idk what topic.

If you mean at the new character select screen...

I had my iPhone out and when I clicked on Done & Save, I took a pic, you get like 3 seconds.

I didn't try the Snapmatic and since we can still edit, you have a few chances to get the pic for both characters, if you have a second one of course.

Is this The Guy?

^^ It takes the pic for you and puts it into your gallery, you have to check your photo gallery and it should be the first pic in there. After that just have to upload to snapmatic

Just an observation.. Now that the draw distance has increased, the NPCs have even more time to make sure them ram into you at every perfect moment. Holy f*ck they're annoying.

A few initial observations:

  • Manually setting individual eyebrow/makeup/lipstick options to replicate the preset 'all-in-one' versions from old-gen takes a while to get used to, but on the upside, there's greater room to mix and match things. Not only that, but I like being able to give my characters eye colour of choice - I now have blue eyes in-game (just like real life!), which is a small but welcome update.
  • Driving in first person is fun, but hairy - particularly if you have a sun visor on your ride, combined with the tint effect of wearing shades while driving. At least it makes the barrel-rolls and head-on collisions less barf-inducing... :barf:
  • Neon kits look awesome on my tuners - offsets the damage of having to turn my Sultan RS back into a plain Sultan, now that the writing on the side is garish white (on my all-black car? Jog on...).
  • The level of detail is mind-boggling - particularly like the colour update of rims, so alloys look like proper glossy metal, and even black rims shine like justice.
  • The new map isn't as bad as I thought it'd be - works fine, although the way enemy blips fade the further away they are does nothing to reduce my overall paranoia...
  • Cinematic camera is more 'cinematic', with some neat extra 'wiggle' effects, rather than just being a fixed-position 'chase'-cam. The improved draw-distance helps, too - adds to the realism not having a low-res blur in the distance!
  • There's a small but noticeable blurring effect whenever you collide with something in your car - kinda reminds me of Watch_Dogs' driving blur effect, but thankfully nowhere near as pronounced.
  • Did we always have the option to hold 'A' to duck down in GTAO? Think we did in single-player, but never noticed it online before - hmm...
  • It'll take a while to get used to left bumper just aiming a weapon, then having to press right bumper/handbrake to fire/throw it, but that's overall for the best - no accidental weapon spraying, and no more 'making the most of that splits-second between the reticle popping up, and your gun firing'.
  • Still haven't heard any of the new radio tracks ('Feel Good Inc.'!), or even my old favourites ('Radio Ga Ga', 'Ashley's Roachclip'), but just seeing the names pop up on the dash display of my Penumbra is a neat touch that'll not get old any time soon.

Can't wait to get back in the game in a few days time (f***ing work commitments - jeez... :headdesk: ) - that's just a few hours dicking about, and I've yet to even scratch the surface, let alone get to grips with the new single-player content (Peyote trips!). Definitely worth the upgrade, tho' - it really does make GTAO feel like a whole new animal on the new console. :^:

I particularly like they way it goes into some kind of shellshock mode when all hell is raining down around you. I was running into the fray while a couple of friends in buzzards were hammering the enemy. It was like the Saving Private Ryan D-Day landing

Proof that the character creator is better if only marginally

Son, you've got a condition.

First person has continued to be much more fun for exploring the world (esp driving) then I'd ever thought it would be. I think the real pleasure that I've come to appreciate more I've played is how seamless the game now is - playing on the X360, there was so much pop-in for me at times it felt as if there was a glitch in the Matrix, despite clearing the cache on a few occasions.

Oh the motion blur?! Yeah, very nice addition. You can actually notice it when moving the camera around really fast as well.

Well there is too much likes in next gen that I'd have a novel to write but the main

like for me is the addition of being able to change your characters hair and makeup

colour at the barber shop.

Work's fine for me and the other 20+ players in the lobby, I suggest you stop using McDonald's WiFi.
