Don't worry, they wont. Like many have said before, R* never delay their game when a date has been announced, and judging from how active V SteamDB page currently is (and we've hit the all-time peak 4 players not long ago), I don't see how that would change.

GTA IV PC delayed to December

Inactive in GTA/R* title modification indefinitely pursuant to a court order obtained by TTWO. Good job acting against modding!

Ding we have a winner. Official proof that January 27th is about as meaningful (if not less so) than Early 2015.

I'm expecting another delay and will be incredibly surprised if there is actually a f*cking exe on my desktop in January.

They announced the delay for IV 2 months before the release date, this time with just a few more days left I don't see a delay.

This is a good example. But;

Rockstar already delayed PC version. Remember. They said Fall 2014. And they delayed PC version to January 2015. There is no any chance for PC release delay.

Wait for next week guys. We will get something.

What you posted has nothing to do with what he posted, that line is straight up misleading propaganda, that's the point.

Well it never had to be born perfect but decent. And they didn't really put much effort into patching. To this day I can't finish the last mission on my new rig because my framerate is too high for that stupid quick-time helicopter part.

On my brothers PC, you have to switch to task manager every few minutes to stop it from lagging due to VRAM issues.

I'm so sick of living in an era where it's acceptable for games to be released totally broken and fixed via patches. What Sam said in that article was an outright lie. I'm sorry you think R* are so perfect and can do no wrong. Ignorance is bliss, as they say.

Nope. For me it was much more than "The game looks and plays beautifully on PC". it was f*cking technology like never seen before! did you ever see that damage engine or the ragdoll effects? wtf do I need to name all the new and amazing stuff gta iv brought? so what if the game was crashing a bit at the beginning.

On Topic: It gets closer to Christmas and we've seen nothing on the PC version and I'll admit that worries me a bit. I'm hoping January is filled with nothing but screenshots and news updates. With such a specific date released so far into the future, surely they'll have any delay handled, in my opinion. But anything could happen.

If arrive 30 days to the launch, and they don't say nothing and/or Steam still say "Early 2015", I'll get to wait another delay.

I agree that GTA IV was a complete and utter mess when it launched for the PC. To be fair though, Rockstar actually tried to fix it with the patches they released for it - and it actually helped a lot. Nowadays, games are often incomplete at launch and full of game-breaking bugs, to a point where not even the several gigabytes big patches help at all. That's a big difference in my view.

History will hopefully not repeat itself. They learned their lesson a long time ago, I'd imagine. Max Payne 3- while it was a linear game- runs great on a wide range of PC's, and I think it's a good indication of what we can expect from GTAV. It will probably not have the same level of optimization due to its nature, but I'm positive that it will run better on systems of the recent years than IV did in 2008/2009.

Well, Rockstar as a company has to perform damage control before everything, it's just corporate protocol, so although they were lies, it was sort of necessary for them. Unfair, I know, but that's how companies work, until enough time passes and attempts are made so they can say they actually f*cked up.

I'm also pretty positive that it will run great. It was in development for quite some time now. They've used it for CG console versions and it runs and looks great.

I don't want my words to come off seeming I don't think GTA V will be good on PC, it was more a general remark. With LA Noire and Max Payne, I believe R* will have more of an idea this time

From what I've read the consoles are more like PC's than they have ever been.

That reason alone gives me hope they won't delay it again...
