I remember in those old days of September 2013, when we all thought GTA V PC was just around the corner, well we were only a year and a half off the mark. In 2 months time the greatest moment of our lives will be upon us, for those of us that stayed strong, remained pure and avoided the trap of buying for those old weaker consoles, it will be worth the wait.

I can see why one would be disappointed that they have to wait two more months, given that console users get the game for a second time now. However, the next two months will be nothing compared to the 36 months that went by so far since V was originally announced. 95% of the wait is over if we go by that. That really is reason enough to keep being optimistic.

I played it on PS3. But I'm still looking forward to it! It's going to be absolutely glorious.... Ahhh yeeeyyy.

Sorry, can't be optimistic when the game should have come out alongside the console versions. Everyone wants to gobble up what Rockstar says and thinks they're genuinely trying to make it a good pc game but I don't buy it. What are all these people going to do when we get another Assassin's Creed Unity with GTX 780 systems and getting 20-30 fps? What then? Will you all realize the delay was just a money move to milk the console sales again? If this doesn't mean anything to you then you really are a brain dead consumer who likes bending over and taking whatever these companies give to you.

It is a pain, I have to say, to see the consoles version coming first than the PC. Development time and optimization is understandable, but Rockstar should at least give some updates from time to time, alongside promoting the consoles version.

It is coming tho, and not for long. Can't believe from the time I thought there's no PC version, and now, its coming in less than 2 months.

PC trailer soon, yeah R*?

The wait is almost over? What? It's still f*cking two months to PC release and you say the wait is over? WTF? And I highly doubt Rockstar will hold on to their Jan release date. IT COULD BE DELAYED AGAIN. :(

Well ill trust rockstar on this one, they've said pc needs more polishing. They want it to be the best it can be, this has to be true since gta iv was a mess. New engine... bunch of drm's. It was a first bad pancake. If they fail again, oh boy... the backlash.

Now what kind of backlash will they get when the pc version is bad just as GTA IV was, even with them delaying?

Sadly, no matter how great a game is, you get people moaning about it. No matter how good, optimised, playable and fun it is.

You can't please everyone, but I hope the majority are happy. I mean not just on pc too....

I really respect the studio that made Max Payne 3 for PC, there's not enough words to describe how happy im because i played one of the best games of the last years, they really did the best possible job (uncommon in gaming world) with amazing optimization. Wish i could say the same about Gta V, ofcourse Max Payne 3 is short and linear game, but that doesnt mean, this kind of optimization can't be achieved with sandbox - Gta. On the contrary, it should, but lots of work is needed. That's why MP3 is perfect example of very good optimization, it plays beautifuly even on much older computer, you dont need the latest stuff to maxed out the game, that's the optimization we need with Gta V. Latest trends for games is just awful however, games are getting more and more demanding, best example of this are system requirements for Assassins Creed:U, ridiculously high that is

Gta iv had bad perf because it was full of new things, probably rushed to make a game. That's understandable. This isn't the case with gta v, theres no reason why it would perform badly. They had enough time for optimizations. It shouldn't even be a port.

Btw you mean ALMOST in Rockstar's language right???

Because according to Rockstar GTA V PC would launch "soon" back in summer when it was announced in E3.

Almost for me means a week, not almost 3 f*cking months.

If the game is unoptimized Rockstar is going to lose everyone at the PC Market and they are gonna cry about it...... Every year Rockstar proves more and more their dislike towards the PC platform and their thirst for money...

What if I say AC Unity is greatly optimized? I tested on my rig. 720p low-medium 15-30+ fps.

It isn't.

I've got it 720p lowest settings and it gives me 50 fps with dips to 18........... No matter what configuration you choose, it will dip and lag and make it unplayable......

And I thought Watch Dogs was terrible.

I've got an FX6300 4.0ghz and R9 270x, mid tier I guess. I can run Crysys 3, Battlefield 4 and demanding games without much problem. Even The Evil Within and Shadow of Mordor worked perfectly on my rig, but not AC Unity.

People in forums complain about they not being able to run it stable in GTX 770's and other people with mid-high tier cards like the 280x - Gtx 670 can't barely go upper than 35 fps....

Too early to celebrate, rockstar hasn't even started the PC marketing campaign.tbh if i knew that this would be taking as long as it has i would have got one of these outdated boxes at day one and called it a day but here we are with 2 months to go,still can't believe we'll be having it.. feels like a myth thanks for the long journey that this has been..lets see how r wants to end this.

We were also sure they wouldn't delay the "only the PC version but leave the next gen versions intact" and that is exactly what they did.

Don't trust them until you got it running in your very own PC.

Are you kidding? A GTX 670/680 maxes out at constant 60fps. Did you update the drivers to 344.65 because it makes a MASSIVE difference. Don't trust me? Here's a video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O_DO21sG5dI

Another delay would literally destroy my soul. I would literally be unable to fathom it... I'm stuck here watching console videos because as cheap as it is, I refuse to buy a console again. Done with that sh*t, left it in high school.

I've got the latest AMD drivers and Direct X installed. Also game updates and sh*t.

STILL UNPLAYABLE.

Only for people who have monster rigs and preferably intel/nvidia combos.
