Why do so few people play missions and such?

Start a popular job or race and get people in, then go from there. The Commute always draws a good crowd to race

All I play are missions but I tend to play solo cause everyone just goes nuts with buzzards. I should probably join a crew or simething

i tend to go with the flow. As long as its not a deathmatch or LTS I stay in.

Join a crew, or multiple crews. Smaller ones. A big ass crew makes little sense because you are still playing with randoms, they just happen to wear the same tag.

 

I'm sure there are some dedicated to doing various activities.

Skydiving and captures don't attract the majority of players dude, sadly

 

Race and dm's it shouldn't take too long to fill a 16 man lobby - the matchmaking in my experience was improved massively last patch, lobbies just fill up nice and quickly.

Common sense would say matchmaking would be a priority for R*, as full lobbies should keep people playing (and ultimately a small percentage paying)

 

*The conspiracist in me has just realised that if the old gen lobbies are naff, more people may be inclined to go new gen - oh dear.

there can be something wrong with youre NAT type, but yea, i cant find true race lobbies anymore lately

Probably cuz most of us have played them like a million times already and are sick of the same sh*t.

Interests? I don't care about racing, I don't care about skydiving, I don't care about arm wrestling, I don't care about golf, I don't care about capture, I don't care about...you get the drift. (Don't get me wrong, I'll play them from time to time, but on a rare occasion)

 

I like going in, shooting the bad guys/cops/Merryweather and getting paid. Hired contract killer type crap is my bag...and unfortunately for you OP, it's probably why you're not getting that flow of people you'd like...most people like the GTA killing cops etc better than the rest.

 

That and matchmaking...although I heard conflicting reports that they're fixed it or broke it depending on the day. So...I tend to go with, not enough interest.

 

I will say this of the side activities I do miss pool the most...but I'd be lying if I said I'd play that with any more frequency than the other side activities. Which is why I don't bother begging for it as an addition. If it comes, nice, if not, meh?

What stagone50 said; plus many jobs or races or what-have-you have such little return in both payout and RP, it's not worth the time if you're trying to build either.

Personally, I rarely do races or sky diving (or most missions) because I enjoy them. It's for variety or keeping my mental state to a dull roar. lol I value free roam and spontaneity the most in GTAO. But some jobs (namely Gerald's) are the ones I play most.

 

IMO, there's still a lot of untapped variety that new missions can draw on...especially once heists finally comes out (no, really--it'll happen!)

I sometimes want to play TDM or LMS but hardly anyone plays those. That's the GTA crowd for you.
