What would persuade you to upgrade?

I would upgrade if the driving physics would be re-done along with the damage modeling. Its those things that are now on par with Saints row. Its also the reason why was about to not buy GTA V when it was released. But then again it was worth the $30 is payed for it on day 1.

 

To me, the better graphics don't mean anything to me. If they however would have re-done at least that part, which makes driving cars more fun. I would have upgraded instantly.

 

In a nutshell my number 1 concern.

 

The cars already feel way too arcadey, from a first person view I imagine it would be a bouncy shaky mess to try and play.

I would be in a panic to get GTAV next gen if it had everything SA had. Gambling, hydraulics, basketball, home invasions, trucking missions, more people to meet, driving school, Combine Harvesters, Bloodring racers, gang areas that can be won, SanFierro, Las Venturas, Jetpack, larger(non mountainous) countryside that we could explore, more memorable story characters, all the original stuff like playing a cop just by getting in the car and starting the minigame(taxi, ambulance, fire truck missions too), drug dealers on the corners in the "hood" that had thousands of dollars to steal, pool tables, in-game video games(still disappointing to not be able to play them), being able to change your physical appearance(work out, eat too much and puke), and much, much, more.

 

Other games - Fallout 4, Elder Scrolls Online(if it ever works right), Borderlands 3 (if it has real graphics instead of pixel shading)

What persuaded me to upgrade was my uncle buying his PS4.

 

He knows me very well. He called it. When he got his, he told my aunt, "She's going to get hers either this week or next week at the latest."

 

My aunt said, "But she has a trip to Hawaii to go to?"

"Doesn't matter, she'll have one."

 

And like clockwork, I bought my PS4...and when I told him, he related the story and I had to laugh.

Exactly, FPV along with max arcadey driving physics just don't mix. Even worse on sportbikes, they handle like pacman going through its maze.

 

No weight transfer at all.

I played The Crew. Not a bad game, but holy sh*t you guys would get bored so fast if GTA V had the same map as The Crew. Hell, I drove down to Long Island and such, and it was literally a few old-style houses on a dirt road. Okay? People don't seem to understand that a huge map doesn't mean everything. Just look at Fuel. Absolutely massive map, but it's all just trees and hills.

1) OMG GTA V is coming to PS4 on november 18th.

I used to think that but eventually I grew tired of the constant upgrading, driver and graphics card incompatibility etc and started to prefer sacrificing a touch of outright performance for a more straightforward idiots approach

• A clean and very customizable Voodoo.
• If we got the IV Tampa, SA Buccaneer, SA Clover and SA Blade along with the Dukes and Stallion. Very unlikely though .

While R* classed it as a low rider the Blade in SA very much resembled a 65 Impala SS which is a muscle car from the 60's.

 

 

• The huge map pictured in a post on the first page. This alone would convince me to upgrade .
• Better car physics.
• More properties online.
• better clothes.
• Higher cap for bounties and race betting.

I'd upgrade for Red Dead 3, Fallout 4, another Elder Scrolls game or GTA VI.

 

There isn't anything Rockstar can do to get me to upgrade for GTA V aside from a new map, and that won't happen for a while.

Well I originally bought a PS4 for GTA V, I bought it with COD AW and I played it's single player campaign which I enjoyed, played online and I haven't touched it since, just as crap as ghosts.

I've pre-ordered Far Cry 4 and Dragon Age Inquisition which are both out next week too and look to be amazing games so my PS4 will finally be getting some serious use, I'd say now is the best time to upgrade your console with these good new releases.
