Blingy Posted November 10, 2014 Share Posted November 10, 2014 As I imagine, it's probably a very common problem to somebody who doesn't know what they're doing. It all started a few weeks ago when I tried to implement ASI Loader and Silents Patch into my game. I didn't really notice any difference, and there probably wasn't (as I would find out soon..). Fast forward to a few days ago, and when I tried to implement ImVehFt, and the game wouldn't load. Flat out wouldn't even launch. So, I uninstalled everything and tried again. Nothing. I deleted the folder, and even tried installing it in a different place. Nothing. So I took off the ImVehFt ASI, and just tried Silents Patch. Nothing. Now, even with CLEO in place and no ASI mods, it still won't turn over. I've tried a few different routes, including the Run search and changing the Moderator properties. I'm using my vintage GTA SA disc from when the game first came out, so it's 1.0 and the game is totally clean. Not a single mod. I apologize because I KNOW this isn't the first time this has come up. I was just a lazy sonofabitch and wanted to be at the top because i've tried troubleshooting it myself and I still don't have an answer for it. So I just installed some ASI Loader from somewhere else, I don't remember, made a new folder and now it finally works. If you want, I can send you the ASI Loader I use. If I leave CLEO in, it won't launch. If I delete it, then the game boots, but I get an error message saying "Error loading plugin SilentPatchSA.asi. I'm going to try ImVehFt next, but I don't think i'll get any better results. Still, the game runs so that's a positive step. EDIT: So I tried ImVehFt, and like I figured it just didn't launch. I deleted Silents Patch and then tried to launch it, and it goes to load and then stops. So i'm not even getting an error message for ImVehFt... which I think is kinda strange. Make a new folder on the desktop and name it GTA SA. Then copy all files to there including the ASI Loader I sent together with SilentPatch and ImvehFt and try to see if it works. Also make sure you set the gta_sa.exe compatibility to Windows 98/ME Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Blingy Posted November 14, 2014 Author Share Posted November 14, 2014 After I changed the Compatibility to Windows 98/ME the game was able to boot. I got another error message saying it couldn't load SilentsPatch but then again I had to start a new game and i've never had to do that before so I think it might have fixed something.
