Actually, I'm the opposite of what this forum thinks about zentorno drivers, i can drive, i don't reverse-kill, i'm cooperative, i'm not a squeeking prick,...

I come to people act friendly wait for a opening then kill

But if someone shoots first I just blow them up and drive away

Even though I am justifiably paranoid (the only way to be, given Rockstar's brain-damaged idea of free-roam), I don't bother to take cover any more, and I don't shoot first unless (as Dt Gott said) they are bearing down on me at full speed with intent to run over.

 

My everyday mode is, if someone is near me after a mission or they walk or drive up to me, I salute or blow kisses and take a chance that they might not be an asshole. That's assuming that they have not already shot me in the back.

 

In the old days, everyone would kill you. These days, about one third decide not to kill me, and usually they give me their default animation (giving the finger or air thrust). That's as friendly as it gets.

 

The low levels are the stupid ones. They sometimes start shooting at me full frontal, and since I have high level full health, I can sometimes get out a gun and put them down before (or simultaneous with when) I go down.

I've given people the benefit of the doubt before. Most of the time I realize that everyones an asshole so I just avoid people. I've never been in a bad sport in my life.

When I had it for 360 I mostly played online solo. I still had a bunch of fun. I dunno, any time I'd play with other people I'd always get stuck with players who would want to do jobs together but then gun me down at the first chance, Haha. A few races though were really fun but... I mostly stick to myself. But I'd say I'm friendly.

Ruthless unless something about someone catches my attention. Eg: if I'm in my jet and about to take down a stunt plane and I look on the list and they are low rank but are doing some impressive flying, I may just take my finger off the trigger and do some stunt flying along side them. Found a new crew member last night because I had this situation and the guy was very helpful to another crew member and I for the rest of the session.

When I pull up to someone I give the universal code for peace - the double horn beep. If they shoot me or ram me on purpose I will just drive away in my JB 700 and they get left for dead after I have dropped a sticky bomb by mistake.

When you meet new people?

 

Usually I try to give them the benefit of the doubt, cause I think it's more fun to have some safe allies in every room instead of making everyone my enemy.

 

I tend to drive slowly past people to try convince them I ain't gonna do a hit n' run, then honk my horn for approval that he/she won't waste me as well. lol (then roll off into the sunset together)

 

I understand it really is up to each individual how they choose to approach people, but it really grinds my nerves whenever I exit my playboy mansion or the hospital and I get sniped by some guy hiding on a rooftop 400 ft away.

 

So what about you guys.

Friend or Foe on first sight?

It depends to be honest. I'm all for making new friends and having fun together but most people want to fight and so I'm always ready and willing to kill anyone not on my friends list or not in my crew. If you encounter me and have a headset, tell me you're friendly. Or salute me or something. But if I think for one second you're out to get me, I'll spill your blood all over the street :-)

I kill anyone that comes close to me because I've been neutral for months on end and every random that I encountered took advantage of that.

 

They drive close to you, honk their horn and then throw a sticky bomb.

They slowly drive towards you, come out of their vehicle unarmed, walk around and then use the assault shotgun.

They approach you in passive mode and follow you around. Then they go out of it and use the assault shotgun.

 

I came to the conclusion that all most GTA:O players are immature scum and dying regularly to them in hopes of meeting someone that doesn't shoot on sight honestly isn't worth it. I used to aim at people to give them the impression to go away to no avail.

 

Now I simply shoot first, ask questions never. I dislike doing this but it's the only alternative.

im friendly most of the time.. even when ppl try to mess with me i try to still just let it go ;D but sometimes idk ;D
