is there anyway i can select any class race instead of getting supercar races when i join a race??

oh well, they do need a feature to let you select which class of race you want, besides hosting a race which 90% of players don't join.

Unfortunately, joining a random race is a crap shoot.

 

To guarantee you have a choice in the class, you need to be the Host, which isn't too bad if you can get people to join.

 

Run a few of the more popular/common races and people will join out of nostalgic sake, alone: The Commute, The Long Haul, Jumps, Jumps, Jumps, etc.

 

Then, once you have a decent crew you enjoy racing with, let the voting cycle select the race and you can still choose the class.

Also, some races are creator-restricted to certain classes or individual vehicles. That is, the creator (R* or another player) decided to limit the possible cars when they were creating the race. Sometimes it's to provide a bit of "theme" (such as the Roosevelt only race) or just to force people to not fail (most Zancudo area races that force Sandkings). I do think that ones mentioned (Commute, Long Haul) are unrestricted, but I haven't done them in quite some time.
