Aly Zaroon Posted November 9, 2014 Share Posted November 9, 2014 How to transfer files from android samsung device via data transfer cable to mac/PC usually when you connect data transfer cable to you PC it should prompt you to folders where your mobile data is located but i think in samsung case is different. so please help me i need help ASAP!!! GG14876 Posted November 10, 2014 Share Posted November 10, 2014 Might be a bit late for "ASAP", but... It seems that a recent update made it so that the device is registered as an "Installer" instead of a media device. You should have an option to change it over to the media device by bringing down the quick-setting/notification drag-down window (forgot the name, but it shows info like connection, battery life, time and is at the very top edge of the screen) and selecting the "Connected as a..." option, then switching to Media Device (MTP). Then the file folders should be accessible though your computer. Hope this helps you in time.
