Hi all,

 

I'm looking to buy a headset together with a PS4 but i know jack about headsets...

Wich headset do you use, why do you like/not like it, wich one do you recommend, wired or wireless,...?

Any info is apreciated

See the post in this section about PS3 headsets.

 

Any of the official SONY full headsets (not earpiece ones) are a great choice. Turtle beach makes good ones too but most are wired which has its pros & cons.

Sony Ps4 gold headset. Works on Ps3 as well.

So there's nothing specific for ps4, by this i mean: anything is compatible?

I thought there would be a difference because i've read somewhere that you had to connect the headset to the controller... I'll folow the other thread than but i think the suggestions are a bit narrow, i was hoping for a bitter choice in brands...

Most should be compatible for both PS3 & PS4. At least all the official sony ones anyways. The one that is included with the PS4 plugs into the controller, but its not a decent one by any means.

 

If i were you, id grab the new gold or the older pulse.

Nah these headsets plug into the Console with either a wireless USB or Wired cord.

 

They just plug right into the console itself not the controller.

 

I have the Sony Pulse which works for both PS3/PS4 plus you can use it with your computers and anything that has a USB slot so it's not soley for consoles.

I never had any issues with my Turtle Beach headset. My friend spent twice as much on his wireless Sony headset and it last a few months, been using mine for we'll over a year and no loss in quality.

 

Mines wired, not wireless. I prefer it that way because I never have to worry about charging it.
