Societal Roles DLC concept

Basically with this concept in mind we would be able to select 2 different societal roles and make money by performing them.

 

Roles include but are not limited to:

 

Merchant

Hooking up with Simeon would allow you to sell vehicles from his shop. Not necessarily PVs more like rare spawns and valuable LSC cars. Your icon could change to a store front (or whatever) signifying that you are a merchant and have items for sale. This could also be opened up to limited time content, both in store and crate drops. I was even thinking that R* could make it possible to quest for more rare content: Biker gear, haircuts, character mods, etc. You could set your own fixed prices or negotiate deals with other players. This would also require them fixing the current money sharing options.

 

Pimp

As a pimp you would get phone calls from your hoes, either asking for a ride to 1 of their Johns, help with an unruly Clients (say they are beating her or not paying up), Turf battles with other pimps (either NPC or player) or you could just go around recruiting girls in your down time. Any girl NPC could be recruited if you were a pimp. The girls would only last during your connected session and the more girls you have the better revenue stream you would produce. Girls would only last during your current session, which would be defined with a Time out system of maybe an hour or so. So if you get disconnected or join a job, your girls would stay active unless you fail to return to FR with an hour.

 

Hitman

Lesters kill targets would receive the dramatic improvement that I think everyone is expecting any way. You would also receive an added bonus on bounty collection. Also, the stun gun would be brought to GTAO and a 'Dead or Alive' bounty could be assigned to particularly unruly players (griefers or players constantly with a high wanted level). They would only be notified via text "Watch your back, someone is getting tired of your sh*t". And only hitmen would be able to see this bounty. Using the stun gun on these players would stun them for a short period giving you enough time to grab their body and throw them in your trunk, at which point lester gives you a random location in LS to deliver his body. Collecting a player alive would result in dramatic pay increase and faster leveling up toward hitman exclusive equipment.

 

Dealer

People have been asking for this function in some capacity for some time. But you would be able to hook up with Gerald and start your own ring. You would start of with nickel and dime sales to NPCs and grow to being able to capture territories and Rival NPC gangs would attack your turf, stealing money and product if they successfully defeat your gang. Leveling this up would improve the efficiency of your gang. Eventually you could join be assigned up to 3 territories upon entering a new session and unlock the ability to setup your own deals both with unknown NPCs or with other Dealers in your session. You could also unlock different Performance Enhancing Drugs. Right now its just Brucie with his constant peddling of Bullshark Testosterone. You could be able to sell this to players, you could also unlock Coke, which would enhance a players movement speed and accuracy, LSD would would incur an acid trip /vision quest type mission for the using party. or PCP which would make a player invincible for a short period of time but dramatically decrease their accuracy. Etc.

 

Junkie

This world wouldnt exist if not for the end user. Hooking up with Lamar would get you on the road to becoming a full blown junkie. Junkies would start by visiting lamar whenever they need a fix of their preferred drug of choice, whether it be to enhance their game or go on an LSD vision quest. Leveling your junkie up would make drugs more readily available. NPC dealers would start soliciting you on the street, Player dealer would be notified of your addiction and could plan their session accordingly. Vision Quests could lead to break-throughs in cash earning or finding rare content that couldnt be attained any other way. You could also have a "Next Fix" meter that counts down 1 ingame day from your last fix. As long as you keep the meter above zero you are good but if it drops below your character shows signs of withdraw, deteriorating to the point of black outs (waking up in random places) and losing the ability to defend yourself properly.

The options are almost limitless. I can think of atleast 5 other societal roles that would be fun to play and the interesting thing would be the combine these roles. If you were able to select 2 roles from the start menu you could combine Pimp&Merchant giving you the ability to sell your girls on the black market. Or Junkie&Dealer forever completing your own viscious circle. Or Hitman&Junkie being a tweaked out hitman chasing bounties and and constantly looking for your next fix.
