Next gen aim settings.

So I have read that 1st person mode will have assisted, semi assisted, and free aim settings. I was wondering if anyone knew if 3rd person would be the same....

Of course it will. 1st person is just an option. If they didn't give it all the aim setting 3rd person has it would be a huge advantage and totally f*ck over anyone that played it originally with 3rd person traditional aim.

Sad indeed. FPV should be free aim only IMHO, but R* needs to make all the kiddies happy too.

From what i gather first and third person modes operate independently of aiming settings, so you can force them for races or deathmatches within the same kind of lobbies (i.e. free aim).

Of course, since this is a console title it could have a certain amount of aim assist (for both perspectives in free-aim mode), but once again R* has history of:

-Not having any kind of aim assist in free-aim (GTA IV).

-Having well implemented aim assist in free-aim (RDR).

-Making aim assist delay kill times due to high reticle friction rates in free-aim, but at the same time, its fully customizable (MP3).

 

So anything can be.

Except the free-aim mode in the PC version which should be completely "free" for both perspectives. (I been playing CS:GO for a while in order to prepare my M&K reflexes).

Maybe for a deathmatch/LTS setting but I just want it for driving. Its much more immersive for the roleplay crowd as well, which are usually older demographics.

True. Although im going to be trying FPV out in all ways upon release, i will likely only end up using it for driving as well. Might be a bit tricky on motorcycles though, which i use 99% of the time.

If it's FPV, it doesn't need AA.

FPV should only be in free-aim IMO, AA lobbies should only have 3rd person. The fidelity of the new consoles + FPV means there aren't any excuses any more for AA.

 

Lobbies should be similar to those in RDR:

 

Friendly- any aim style, any camera settings, cannot kill other players

Normal- any aim style, 3rd person cameras only, player blips always appears on players radars

Hardcore- free-aim only, any camera settings, player blips only appear when a player is shooting a non-silenced weapon, running or in a vehicle, wanted level does not increase from killing other players

 

This way, the people who don't want to play in free-aim, can still experience FPV in non-PvP lobbies.
