orcdog Posted November 8, 2014 Share Posted November 8, 2014 I accidently activated cheat during BMX challenge(i used WASD and maybe pressed some other keys near them). But im sure i didnt press some keys far away and cant find cheat what i can activate with keys near WASD. Dont know what cheat it was, all look normal. I finished SA many times and it never happened before Looks like not big problem, just load older save but i sprayed 30+ tags and dont want do it again. So i need cross my finger and hope all is fine and i can complete game without problems(want complete it 100% before V) or curse like mad and just in case load my earlier save? OrionSR Posted November 9, 2014 Share Posted November 9, 2014 (edited) I recommend respraying the tags so you can avoid the nag screen while saving, or editing your game to remove the cheat flag. It's impossible to guess which cheat was activated based on nearby keys. There are many possible combinations of keys that might trigger the appropriate hash that activates a cheat; the cheat code lists are just the combinations that everyone uses for reference. The random cheat glitch is a rare but known issue. I suspect the problem will go away completely as you become more comfortable with the controls. There is only one cheat that will damage your save so you can't complete missions and there's an easy test for it. Visit one of the vending cart vendors (chili dog near the ferris wheel, the corner of Verona beach, base of LS tower). If the vendor attacks CJ or runs off to attack other peds then you will have problems with your save if you don't repair it. I thought about it and Im 98% sure(i only used WASD+left control during challenge)it was some bug and its safer to not use this save file. OrionSR Posted November 9, 2014 Share Posted November 9, 2014 Yeah, well, it's the peds attack/riot cheat (name depends on the system) that leads to the Madd Dogg glitch in LV and a host of other annoying errors. The chili dog vendors use the same ped preferences so it's an easy test. Good luck with the tags. I think you'll be a lot happier in the long run.
